Yesterday, instead of making a huge fuss over Independence Day celebration at home, we decided to avoid the trouble and go out. There are a few decent American restaurants which we like, but we wanted to try something new, so we ended up in the recently opened “Route 66 Marbella” diner and sports bar.

I was really happy that we went to this place, as it turned out to be a great night. The restaurant was packed, the live music was delightful, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very friendly and festive.

And although the BBQ was amazing, with a great selection of meat and sausages, my personal favorite was a carrot cake! OMG, it was so tasty. The best I tried so far and believe me I tried a lot! :)

It was a wonderful night at the cool place. And I will definitely be back to try something else on the menu, as the nachos at the nearest table looked impressive.
