Marbella Luxury Weekend for the second year in a row brought exclusive and magnificent celebration of luxury and glamour to Puerto Banus. This event was a true delight for people who can appreciate the absolute excellence and chic. During the four extraordinary days guests could attend various parties, shows and presentations, enjoy brilliant drinks and food, observe latest car models and expensive jewelry.
Since my unforgettable experience during Marbella Luxury Weekend last year, I was really looking forward to the second edition of this one of the kind event. And that’s why I was so happy and honored when I found out that I am going to have the official press badge. With the badge I was able to visit as many events as I wanted and therefore could tell you all about it.
So here are “10 Events That I Loved The Most During Marbella Luxury Weekend II Edition”:
1 – MLW’12 Inauguration Gala
First event that I loved during Marbella Luxury Weekend was the opening night. It was a very impressive party organized to the highest standards. You can read more about this party here.
2 – Continuous Parties and Presentations at Gomez y Molina Jewellers
Throughout all four days of Marbella Luxury Weekend Gomez y Molina jewelry store had always something going on. This shop had the most interesting and diverse party schedule. During daytime they had various presentations, such as: Michael Jackson’s sofa, J 12 watches by Chanel, new collection of jewelry by Pascuale Bruni, latest novelties in watchmaking by Hublot, Vertu phones, Mikimoto pearls, new collection by Ulysse Nardin, Rolex and Audemars Piquet just to name a few. Without presentations Gomez y Molina offered various tastings: sushi, Brut Lessinger Cuvee Diamonds Champagne, cupcakes and much more.
And as if this was not enough every evening guests could sample amazing cocktails by European cocktails champion. The entertainment program of Gomez y Molina jewelry store was so interesting, that you could just hang out in their lounge all the time and still had unforgettable memories of Marbella Luxury Weekend.
3 – Gomez y Molina Party at Torre VIP Area
Separately I want to mention the amazing party by Gomez y Molina and Emshel held at one of the VIP Areas – Torro. The event featured fashion shows from the designer Angel Palazuelo, Manila Grace Boutique, Emshel and Gomez y Molina Jewellery. I personally loved the new collection of exquisite furs from Piedad de Diego and evening bags from Je Suis by Naia.
Oh, and of course cocktails! :)
4 – “Be Rich” Official Store Inauguration
When I first saw the name of the new jewelry shop in Puerto Banus, I was a little bit shocked, but at the same time delighted. I must admit, I love the word “rich”. It has so much meanings and all of them scream of abundance. I love the name of the store “Be Rich” and I guess we should co-operate in the future.
Anyway, the official opening of the shop was a very interesting event. The mayoress of Marbella – Angeles Muñoz assisted in the traditional cutting of the red ribbon.
There was a chance for guests to take a photo with Miss and Mister Malaga 2012.
Everyone received gift bags and was treated to various drinks and canapes. You could also leave your details to be included in the ruffle for a chance to win 800 Eur worth of jewelry.
5 – Cars and Art Luxury Show
On the 1st of June Grupo Guarnieri held amazing party where they presented spectacular “Gomez Collection”, which included 24 Porsche 911 GT2 hoods decorated by various artists.
Guests could also enjoy magnificent views on the evening Puerto Banus and sip cocktails the courtesy of Olivia Valere, where the party continued afterwards.
6 – Events by Bulgari
This year Bulgari had events almost every day: on the 31st of May they had exclusive sampling of Cigars, led by the premium cigars expert Jose Andres Colmena. On the 1st of June they had presentation of Monete collection and on the 2nd of June sampling of the exclusive Gin Tonic Tanqueray Ten. I love attending Bulgari events, because they have such a magnificent terrace overlooking Puerto Banus.
7 – Cocktail Party by Elite Woman
I didn’t even want to go to this cocktail party at first, but when I was passing by and saw all these glamorous people going in and out of the Elite Woman store, I decided to pop-in for a second. And I am really glad I did! Because this store really knows how to party! Half naked DJ, free drinks and dancing Gods and Goddesses right in the middle of the store, where else can you experience it? I had lots of fun and took some cool pictures.
8 – Brunch with Tiffany & Co in Tourbillon Boutique
Only selected number of people were invited to this exclusive event, where guests could see the latest models of watches by Tiffany as well as enjoy various canapes, drinks and cupcakes.
I had a chance to meet and chat with the manager of the Tourbillon boutique in Puerto Banus – Carla Hijma and the marketing and sales coordinator of Tiffany & Co in Spain – Lara Bartolome.
9 – Boats and Yachts Parade by Marina Marbella
Marina Marbella presented their selection of yachts and boats for the public.
What I loved the most were the girls on the boats in magnificent dresses. Some of them were wearing backless sequins, which sparkle in the night and draw attention to the boats.
10 – ?
It is always hard to pick one last event from the long list of unforgettable memories. I loved the closing ceremony, where winners of MLW Golf tournament were awarded and “Be Rich” jewelry shop raffled their 800 Eur jewelry (unfortunately the lucky winner wasn’t me). I also enjoyed lingerie fashion show by A La Folie in Pravda restaurant. Tasting of cocktails at El Gran Gatsby restaurant, which has the most magnificent views over the port and enchanting atmosphere.
There were so many great events during the second edition of Marbella Luxury Weekend, that I just can’t wait to see what the next year will bring! If you, just like myself, love luxurious things and glamorous parties, then you should definitely come to Puerto Banus next year!
