The Award season is finally over, so we can concentrate on something else, rather than “who wear what” on a red carpet. By the way, what do you think about the Oscars red carpet this year? I thought it was interesting, much better than last year actually. But what excited me the most was that two red dresses out of 7 that I picked before the Oscars, were chosen by celebrities! Remember, just a few days before the Oscars, I have collected 7 red dresses I would love to see on the red carpet? And to my surprise and astonishment 2 out of 7 were actually worn by celebrities! How cool is that?! Last year I have selected a dress by Antonio Berardi and although it was not on the Oscars red carpet, it was worn by Jane Krakowski at SAG Awards and by Kim Kardashian at Grammy’s. So, should I be celebrity stylist or what?! jk
Anyway, it is really exciting to see the dresses I picked on celebrities. I wonder how designers feel when their creations appear on Academy Awards scene? Must be a very rewarding feeling. So, who are these celebrity girls and what about the dresses?
First one is Olivia Munn in Marchesa. This was one of my favorite dresses and I even initiated voting on our FaceBook page, where girls could choose from Marchesa and Elie Saab dresses. By the way, the dress by Marchesa won in our small voting.
I really think that Olivia Munn looked amazing in this dress. It was a great choice for her.
The other celebrity girl, who made my day, was Hilary Swank. She opted for a red dress by Valentino to attend the Oscars after party organized by Vanity Fair. And she looks ravishing in that dress. Very rarely can I say that the dress is made for a girl. Well, now I say it: this red Valentino dress is made for Hilary Swank. They are perfect for each other!
I am really glad that Hilary Swank decided to wear this Valentino dress. She has perfect body for it. This dress looks much better on Hilary than on the runway model. Don’t you agree, girls?
So, here are the two red dresses out of 7. I wonder if we will see the rest 5 on celebrities at some point. Please do let me know if I miss something as it is almost impossible to follow all presentations, screenings and parties that celebrities go to.
