Red dress is one of my most favorite choices for any major event. There is something special about the red dress – you look more attractive, passionate and vigorous. I always wear red evening dress when I need to boost my confidence. So, if I were among celebrities who are now making their vital decisions on which dress to wear to the 85th Academy Awards red carpet, my first choice would be red.
Here are some of the best and most elegant red dresses from the latest fashion shows I could find. Just a few words about my selection criteria. I was looking for a dress which would be elegant and appropriate, but at the same time interesting. In other words, the dress which would guarantee it’s wearer a place on the “Best Dressed List”.
1 – Red Dress by Badgley Mischka
I was thinking a lot before adding this dress to my selection, because it seemed rather ordinary at first. But the more I looked at this dress, the more I liked it. So in the end I decided to feature it because of it’s elegance. I would say that this dress would be a rather safe choice and a lot will depend on your hairstyle and the way you accessorize it.
2 – Red Dress by Elie Saab
Let me just say it – I love evening dresses by Elie Saab! They are always exceptional. When I was browsing through the latest collections, it was really hard to not like any of the dresses. If I were a celebrity, I would only wear dresses by Elie Saab. All their dresses are masterpieces! Just look at this exceptional red dress.
3 – Red Dress by Marchesa
I love this red dress by Marchesa, because there is something royal about it. This is a dress most suitable for an Oscars winner to pose with the golden man.
4 and 5 – Red Dress by Monique Lhuillier
My other all time favorite evening dress designer – Monique Lhuillier. She just knows what a woman needs in order to be the ultimate star of the evening no matter how grand and important! Hence there are two red dresses I picked as best choices for the Academy Awards red carpet.
6 – Red Dress by Valentino
Dresses by Valentino are always feminine and elegant. And this red dress that I have picked is not the exception. If I were Jennifer Lawrence, I would wear this dress. I think she or Jessica Chastain would look flawless in this gown.
7 – Red Dress by Zuhair Murad
And finally something red and provocative by Zuhair Murad. Last year Angelina Jolie’s leg has taken Oscars’ red carpet by storm. I would suggest that this year someone take it up a notch and show both legs at once. This would definitely be interesting. I wonder who could be so courageous?
So, here are my selection of red evening dresses most suitable for the Oscars red carpet. Let’s wait and see what gorgeous gowns celebrities will wear this Sunday. And maybe, who knows, we will be able to witness one of these red dresses on a red carpet! This would be so awesome!
