Guest Post: How I Spent My Weekend in London
May 16, 2012 by Guest Post
When I decided that I wanted to spend my summer break in London, I knew that I needed to have a plan. I did my research and was able to come up with a long list of things that I would do on my weekend in London. Most people usually have different ideas as to how London is and I must admit that it was completely different compared to what I initially thought. There were a lot of things that stood out but a few things really made my stay completely worth while.
• Shopping
As a woman looking to have fun in London, I knew that I had to go shopping. There are plenty of shopping malls in London and it felt like a shopping haven for me. The Westfield Shopping Centre and Piccadilly were by far my favourite place for vintage shopping and I spent hours there trying to find various things for my friends and family. Shopping is every tourist’s main thing to think about when out in a different city and so this was where I spent most of my time. However, the nice thing about my shopping trip was that it led me to want to learn about the art galleries that I saw posters of.

• Art galleries
I looked around and tried to find the best art galleries in the area. Since I had my digital camera, I knew that I was going to take some great pictures in London. Though I loved to take pictures, I felt like I wanted to see what others had to offer. I looked for a really good art gallery and I ended up finding The Royal Academy of Arts. This was actually my favourite part of the trip and I was so excited to see what other artists were able to create. I was always a big fan of paintings and so this was right up my alley of interests.
• Nightlife
Since I’m single, I knew that I needed to see how the nightlife was in London. This was one of the most entertaining nights of my life as I went from bar to bar and ended up at a trendy bar in Camden. This bar was great fun and the people were surprisingly very interesting to talk to. A few guys tried to hit on me, it was a liberating experience going out by myself, when I went back to my hotel room I was completely exhausted.

• Getting Treatment Done
My last day in London was focused on simply me and how I wanted to get some treatment done. I got some dermal filler treatment done at this clinic on Harley Street and this was surprisingly really easy to go through. This was my first time getting any treatment done but I was told that this was the place to go. I am really thankful that I was led to this clinic and the service was by far the best that I had during my role trip and the results were just as good. This clinic on Harley Street definitely made my trip worth while.
I came home with hundreds of pictures and memories that I will never forget. Though I was only able to stay for a weekend, I realized that there is nothing better than being able to spend a weekend in a different city. This was arguably one of the most expensive trips that I have ever been on but I would admit that it was completely worth it. I highly recommend that people learn something from my trip and enjoy what I experienced in London.

Monaco – Exquisite Place For Party In Style
May 5, 2012 by Guest Post
The tiny principality of Monaco sits at the very heart of the French Riviera and pretty much no place on earth has the same concentration of wealth and sophistication that is squeezed into this stunning location.
The elite of Europe are drawn to Monaco either as a tax exile or simply to have quality fun time whenever they come to visit. The peak times for visiting are of course the Monaco Grand Prix at the end of May and as a base for the nearby Cannes Film Festival.
The seemingly endless line of luxury yachts in the main harbour are a testament to the wealth of some of the inhabitants and visitors but also provide a stunning setting and atmosphere for a party girl to have fun.
Where to stay
If the budget will stretch then the Fairmont Monte Carlo is probably one of the finest hotels on the island but if you even have to mention the word budget then perhaps you may be looking elsewhere to stay. There are plenty of other stunning hotels to consider such as Le Meridien Beach Plaza, Port Palace and the Hotel Metropole. Just remember that if you are planning to visit for the Grand Prix, a few extra noughts might need to be added to the price.
Where to eat
Monaco is greatly favoured by gastronomic excellence and offers a host of starred restaurants such as the Joel Robuchon, Le Louis XV and Le Vistamar to name a few of the Michelin starred venues. Brasserie Cuisine is a great way to get a feel of the local culture and there are some great choices such as Avenue 31, Bilig Cafe and Brasserie Cafe De Paris offering good food at what could be considered reasonable prices for the area.
What to Do
Monaco is almost without question the international capital of luxury and when you visit the exclusive shopping area known as Carré d’Or you will find the expected array of fine boutiques and well known designer brands offering haute couture , and jewellery in particular, but don’t forget to also wander through the lanes of the old town and also take in the Metropole, Lumieres and Fontvielle shopping areas. There is of course the Casino to keep you occupied during the evening and even if you don’t like to lose money at the tables it is a good place to people watch!
Some other fun things to do during your stay would be to take a look around the Palais Du Prince which is of course the Royal Palace which has 15 rooms open to the public. During the summer months of July and August there is a Ferrari City Tour which takes you on a 20 minute tour of the City as a passenger in a flame red Ferrari (What else?) or there is the option of driving the car yourself with an instructor as the passenger!
On a more cultural note, you should consider a visit to the Musée Océanographique which is set in a stunning location at the cliff edge and has something for everyone.
If that is all too much activity for you, why not just hang around the harbour and enjoy the almost continuous party atmosphere in Monaco, the perfect playground not just for the rich and famous, but having those attributes would certainly help during your stay!

Airport Madness And Almost Missed Flight
September 21, 2011 by Rich Girl
My trip to Monaco Yacht Show this year was almost ruined by the force majeure situation
Try to imagine the following, I come to a check-in desk all smiles, hand in my passport, the lady at the desk checks her computer and says that she can’t find me in the list for this flight.
“You are not registered for this flight” – she says in the most polite voice.
First few seconds I couldn’t even digest this information. I just kept smiling. Then as the situation gradually started to sink into my brain my smile faded.
“What do you mean, I am not on this flight? I have confirmation in my email. There must be a mistake! I am on this flight! Please check properly.” – I was beyond annoyed at this point. I honestly thought that the lady was just plain stupid.
Turned out that I indeed was not on the flight! There was some kind of misunderstanding between my travel agency and the airline, which resulted in me crying in the airline office at Malaga airport and almost kissing my Monaco trip good-bye. Because the airline said that it is not their problem and if I still want to fly now, I should pay 450 Euros. To this I just said: “F$%# You! Are you kidding me?! I already paid for my tickets! Do something!” “No, it is too late.” – they said and started to mind their own business, drinking coffee and chatting.
What would you do in the situation like this? When there is one hour left to your flight? I was shocked, I panicked, with trembling hands I started to call my agency. They were holding me on the line for literally 30 minutes and only when there was half an hour left to my flight, they solved the problem. Alleluia! Thank God, that the lady on the check-in desk (the one which I thought was stupid at the beginning, for what I apologize) haven’t left already. They usually close check-in desks 1 hour before the flight.
The lady on the check-in desk said: “Yes, you are on the list now, but it is too late. I can’t allow you to board the plane.” I plead and plead this holy woman and she agreed to call the captain of the plane and only after he said: “Ok, let her in!” She printed out my boarding passes.
You can’t even imagine what I felt then she said I am in! That I can fly! I literally started crying! I always wondered why girls, who participate in beauty contests, cry when they win the prize? Well, now I understand them. After such a nervous pressure, there is no other option.
So, when they said I can go now, I ran to the security. They asked me to take off my shoes, at that moment the boarding already started. I took my shoes off and ran barefoot to my gate through the whole Malaga airport! You might have already guessed correctly that my gate was at the farthest end possible of the departure area. Thank God and cleaning ladies for the tidy floors in Malaga airport.
No matter what have happened to me just a few hours before, I was so happy to be on the plane. You can’t even imagine!! So, it is only logical that I celebrated the happy ending of this madness with a glass of cava and the rest of my trip went down smoothly. Although, I couldn’t concentrate to read or do anything other than just look out of the window and drink.
I am in Monaco now and really appreciate every minute of it, because there was a great chance that I would not be here at all.
Stay tuned to my reports from Monaco Yacht Show 2011. By the way, if anyone of you are here by any chance, let’s meet up for a cocktail or something!

10 Luxurious Escapes Of The Rich And Famous
September 6, 2011 by Rich Girl
It’s impossible to read a magazine, paper, or browse online without hear mention of a celebrity these days. It’s exasperating and tedious – most of the time. The rest of the time some of us secretly wonder how the other half live, what they do, where they holiday, and wish away our lives thinking how wonderful it would be if one day we were in their financial position. Until then we’ll have to make do with the usual bargain basement breaks and be happy with our lot. Still, there’s no harm in looking.
1 – Monaco

One of the most luxurious and pricey destinations on earth is the small tax haven of Monaco, lodged somewhat happily between France and Italy. The Principality is famous amongst Europe’s elite for its casinos and extravagant nightlife, as well as its shops, Grand Prix and yachts, for which you’ll need bags loads of cash to keep up in the capital of Monte Carlo. The hotels are out of this world – celebrities particularly enjoy the Hotel Metropole, where one of the best suites can set you back a whopping $4,000 a night! There’s good news for us lowly members of the public, though – there are plenty of reasonably priced hotels on either side of the Principality especially in Nice, France, so you could stay in France and play in Monte Carlo. Now that’s living it large.
2 – Dubai

Equally famous for its luxury lifestyle is Dubai in the UAE. A long-time favourite amongst the top crust from all over the world, this city has emerged from the desert as a playground and shopping paradise. Despite it’s location in the Middle East, Dubai offers a laid back lifestyle with some of the best bars and clubs on the planet. And don’t worry about the soaring heat of the day – there are miles and miles of air conditioned malls in which to seek refuge and part with your cash. The accommodation is out of this world – most famous is the recently completed Royal Palm where you can expect to pay up to $1,000 a night – and the city boasts a top range of restaurants and entertainment facilities to keep the credit card busy.
3 – St Barts

Some celebs – Mariah Carey being one – prefer a more gentile resort, where they can try to relax with a degree of privacy. Despite their money and entourage, it’s the simple white sands and beautiful scenery that attract the rich and famous to this Caribbean island. Known for its fabulous cuisine and local delicacies coupled with European influences, it’s the place to be seen in the Caribbean. One of the best places to stay has to be Eden Rock – listed in the top 100 hotels worldwide. Boasting a selection of beaches and suites with a price range of $700 up to $4,300 a night, it’s sure to impress.
4 – Cape Town

Africa’s most popular tourist destination attracts its fair share of famous people, including Prince Harry and Tiger Woods. It’s a perfect location for those looking for a spot of European glamour in Africa. Celebs enjoy the swanky restaurants along the Victoria and Albert Waterfront, which boasts an array of fantastic seafood restaurants and shops. The posh Camps Bay area, where a private villa can cost you up to $1,900 a night, is the ideal hangout for a party. Those who prefer to stay in a hotel can head to the One & Only, where UK celeb Cheryl Cole spent a recent holiday. Situated on the waterfront, this hotel boasts a range of rooms and suites. The One Penthouse suite is a true gem, with stunning views over Table Mountain and a choice of two pools, four bedrooms and private lift.
5 – Capri, Italy

The island of Capri has long been known for its high-end hotels and is favoured amongst Europe’s elite for its fabulous views, food and weather. The resort of Anacapri is probably the most prestigious and attracts celebrities such as Whitney Houston, as well as leading members of Europe’s royalty. With views over the sea towards the Bay of Naples, this resort oozes exclusivity. A favourite hotel in the area is the Capri Palace Hotel and Spa. The rooms and suites are all appointed with luxury materials, but celebs prefer the Penthouse Suite, with stunning views, marble floors and a pool, this suite of rooms can set you back almost $8,000 a night!
6 – Las Vegas

For sheer hedonism some of the world’s most wealthy people choose to head to Las Vegas. The city is well known as a great place to spot celebs, given its great nightlife and flashy hotels. A number of America’s most famous people have been spotted in the glitzy city, and it also remains a great destination for Europe’s elite looking for some fun. Hang around at the Palms Casino Resort and you might catch a glimpse of someone important who’s been staying in the Fantasy Penthouse suite at the very top. And of course, they can fly in and out with no disturbance in their private helicopters. Nice for some, eh?
7 – London

London remains a favourite haunt for millionaires and celebs, despite the notorious British weather. Known for its exclusive restaurants and hotels, the capital has it all. Bond Street and Mayfair are famous worldwide for their posh shops and designer boutiques, and hotels such as the Dorchester, Berkeley and the Ritz are world class. London boasts great nightlife as well as fashion shows and of course hosts various film premiers in Leicester Square. Booking a suite at the Berkeley in exclusive Knightsbridge will set you back a few bob – the wonderful Conservatory Suite with its own rooftop terrace has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, three reception rooms and conservatory!
8 – St Tropez

An old favourite amongst the rich and famous in Europe is St Tropez. Not far from Monaco and a stones throw away from film premiere destination Cannes, St Tropez is known for attracting a glamorous crowd. Trademark sights include the billionaire’s yachts moored at the marina and the young and beautiful lounging on the beaches. Walk the boutique-lined streets and be careful not to scratch the paintwork on some of the most expensive cars on Earth. Jay Z and Beyonce have stayed here in the wonderful Byblos hotel which has been luring celebs since the late ‘60s. A deluxe suite at Byblos is only $2,100 a night in the low season. Bargain.
9 – Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Famous for its beautiful sandy beaches, laid back style and relaxing spa hotels, Cabo is a favourite Mexican destination amongst the world’s high flyers. A favourite destination of George Clooney and assorted Friends stars, the resort offers a luxury haven away from a hectic lifestyle. The beaches, shopping malls, exclusive hotels and restaurants attract crowds of celebrities every year. Aside from the chic One & Only Resort, celebs favour the luxury beachfront resort of Esperanza. With beautiful suites and a wonderful infinity pool, Esperanza has it all. Celebrities often prefer the privacy of Esperanza’s private villas offer: a two bed, two bath villa is a cool $1,500 a night.
10 – Lake Como, Italy

Finally, another of George Clooney’s favourite places. Stunning Lake Como is the perfect place to stay year round, and is favoured also by Madonna and Versace, among others. The stunning scenery, romantic walks and close proximity to the ski resorts in the Alps make this a number one winter destination. A favourite sport for those who don’t own their own holiday home is the luxurious Villa D’Este hotel. Perched on the lake with stunning views, this hotel has a range of romantic rooms and suites. Stay in the Cardinal Suite with fantastic Italian style terrace and enjoy the views and great food delivered to your door. Prices for suites begin at $2,100 a night. A night with George: priceless.

Amsterdam through Rich Girl’s Eyes
November 28, 2010 by Rich Girl
Filed under Rich Travel, Rich Videos
It was not my first visit to Amsterdam, I was here before and I loved it. I always wanted to come back and I know this is not my last time in this amazing city.
I would call Amsterdam the city of contrasts – it is very romantic and cozy because of the canals, narrow streets and cute old unique houses and at the same time depraved with naked girls popping out of the windows offering their bodies and pleasure for money.
Amsterdam has numerous churches and at the same time it is the only place in Europe where you are allowed by law to smoke weed in designated places called “Coffee Shops”. No matter what you think or have heard about Amsterdam – you can’t argue that this city is an absolute must see! Amsterdam is fun!
I was surprised how many bicycles were there in Amsterdam. It seems that the whole city rides bicycles. I think that I have only one picture from the whole trip without a bicycle entering the picture and this was just because I was capturing pedestrian street with no cyclists allowed. Other than that there are hundreds of them, you need to watch out not for crazy car drivers, but rather for cyclists, because they have no fear and mercy for pedestrians. God forbid to stay in their way and confuse their lane with pavement, you will be yelled at and even could end up injured. I think the first thing you need to keep in mind is watch out for cyclists! If you get it right, you will be able to enjoy this amazing city without consequences.
Everywhere you go in Amsterdam, you will find a thing to smile about (and it is not an effect of the weed, I hope). Where else in the world you will find “xxx” sign on almost all city things? I mean on city clocks, lamps, garbage bins, on the pavement, on the flag, just everywhere you will look, you will see XXX. And there is a reason for this, of course. It is because “xxx” is the city’s official symbol that was chosen 500 years ago. And no, it doesn’t mean what you think. Three X represent three crosses which are St. Andrew’s crosses, named after the apostle St. Andrew who is said to have been martyred on such a cross.
Holland is also known for their flowers. I was in awe when I was walking through flower market. I wanted to buy everything and at once, but I knew I will not be able to take them with me on board of the plane. But I have found out that they will be glad to send me any bulb I want, so I am thinking about planting my balcony with cute tulips next spring, it will be so beautiful.
Amsterdam is definitely fun! Enter any shop where they sell souvenirs and just laugh out loud on the things you will never get anywhere in the world like candies with hash, salt and pepper shakers in the shape of penis and etc.

Look at the girls in the windows, they are so different and trying hard to grab attention of the potential clients. Enter one of the numerous Sex Shops which here are full of people, so you will not be ashamed to go there all alone. Like I entered one of such shop specialized in new technology, expensive models of dildos. The shop itself was bright and white, just like an Apple Store. People there were walking around and looking at the newest designs and inventions with serious faces. It was so funny. And of course if nothing of the above made you smile, go to the coffee shop or visit Sex Museum or Hash Museum, where else in this world you will be able to mix culture with pleasure?!
I would love to come to Amsterdam again and again. In this city you will never be bored. I would also recommend this city for hen and bachelor’s parties; Amsterdam is just made for fun and sinful pleasures (for those who are looking for them anyway).
Oh, and one more thing. In case you decide to visit Amsterdam, I would really advice you to go there during summer months, because it was freezing in November. I needed to run from one coffee spot (not be confused with coffee shops!) to another, because I was not used to cold after Spain. The good thing is that I have found a really good place for coffee called Coffee Company. I loved their coffee even better than Starbucks.
And I also found great place for sushi called Zushi! Sushi at this place were just AMAZING!! When I will be next time in Amsterdam I will go there for sure. Or, maybe I was just very hungry and cold, but anyway, sushi were good!
Also, if you will visit Amsterdam in summer you will be able to enjoy a boat ride on the beautiful canals. This definitely must do while in Amsterdam. I was not taking a boat ride this time, because as I said it was freezing, but I enjoyed it during my previous visit and it was unforgettable! And yes, the pictures are much cooler than taken during sunny day.
So, this is my little story about my visit to Amsterdam. Have you been there? Maybe you can share your own experience with this city? I would love to hear from you!

Rich Girl’s Summer was great!

Filed under Marbella, Rich Girl's Blog
It makes me sad to realize that the summer is coming to it’s end. Here in Spain we still can enjoy the beach till October, but anyway subconsciously you know that the happy season is over.
I really enjoyed this summer!! It was different from all the previous summers, because I spent it in Spain and I was not working at all, just enjoying myself!
I traveled a lot, visited my friends in Latvia, had marvelous time on my friends’ wedding there, some friends came to visit me here in Marbella. I saw the amazing capital of Spain – Madrid, had fun during Sex and the City 2 premiere with my friend in Barcelona, got sun burnt in Alicante, saw a lot of Apes in Gibraltar, was driving in cable car over Benelmadena (this was scary, but the view from the top of the hill was worth it!), saw amazing shoes which I am now dying to buy in Malaga, loved the beach in San Pedro, watched a lot of cool movies in Fuengirola, tried white Sangria in Marbella’s old town (it was delicious, with strawberries and bananas, mmm…), ate tapas with friends in Tarifa, tried to visit Alhambra in Granada twice still didn’t make it to the palace, saw breathtaking bridge in Ronda, huge port in Algeciras and glamorous marina in Puerto Banus. And yes, Spain winning the World Cup (the celebration was unforgettable experience)!!
These were my highlights of the summer 2010. I hope that Autumn will be as much fun! I have lot’s of plans for Rich Girl’s Club and since I will have a lot of free time it will be something special! So, stay tuned! You will love what I have prepared for you!
Love you all so much! Would like to hear what was special about your summer!

Maldives – Heaven on Earth
October 11, 2009 by Rich Girl
I want to confess, I hate autumn. This season makes me feel very depressed and I always try to find a good escape. This year I think that I have found a perfect hiding place - Maldives.
Autumn is the best season for planning your trip to Maldives, the rain season which is mainly from May to August is over and it is warm and sunny there now. The temperature in Maldives never falls below 77F (25C) and I was adviced in different travel agencies to visit Maldives any time between November and April.

Picture taken from http://www.picstropical.com
The Maldives is situated in the South West of Sri Lanka, on the equator. The numerous coral reef islands, 1,190 in total, form an archipelago of 26 natural atolls ( groups of neighbouring coral islands). These 26 atolls are organised into 19 administrative atolls with the capital island of Male’ established as an entity of its own forming the twentieth division. Out of the incredibly large number of islands only 202 are inhabited and 87 are exclusive resort islands.

Picture taken from http://www.sixsenses.com
With around 2000 coral reefs, sandbars and coral outcrops, Maldives coral islands are a delight for scuba divers, snorkeling enthusiasts and people who love marine life. The coral reefs and atolls provide shelter for many species of fish, and other marine creatures. You can see numerous colorful fish swimming round the coral reefs in Maldives, while swimming or snorkeling in the clear blue water of the Indian Ocean around Maldives coral islands.

Picture taken from: http://enrof.net
I have heard a lot of amazing stories about Maldives, saw great number of breathtaking pictures, but have never been there myself. One of my friends went on Honeymoon there and I think that they couldn’t find the better place for romantic escape. Clear blue warm water, white sand, and you and your beloved one alone on the island! What can be more romantic?! I am dying to get there?!

Picture taken from: http://www.fourseasons.com
I will now start searching for the perfect resort island in Maldives and will share results of my research with you here on Rich Girl’s Club.
I would love to hear your stories about Maldives, if you already been there. Share your adventure with us by leaving your comment below.
