New Rich Girl On The Block – Priscilla Chan Zuckerberg
May 21, 2012 by Rich Girl
Well, I don’t know exactly what Priscilla’s surname sounds like now after she married Mark Zuckerberg. Whether she took his name or stayed with her own doesn’t really matter – she is a billionaire’s wife now! How cool is that?! My sincerest congratulations to the happy couple!
Actually I have a funny story to share with you. Mark Zuckerberg’s name was all over the news the whole week with the IPO and other stuff. So, I guess because of that or just ’cause he is a billionaire (and I’ve got a thing for billionaires. Just kidding. Not really
). Anyway, yesterday when we were arguing with my husband about something over dinner, I said: “Well, if you gonna act like that, I just divorce you and marry Mark Zuckerberg!” We had a laugh and ordered some steaks. So, guess what my husband told me first thing in the morning today?! “Honey, you are late! Mark Zuckerberg just got married!” This is my little story about Mark and how he must have sensed my evil intentions.
Funny thing I found on twitter: “Mark Zuckerberg has changed his status to ‘Married’. Priscilla Chan has changed hers to ‘Jackpot’. She also ‘likes’ “top divorce lawyers”.

Enough with the jokes, I am actually really glad that Mark married his girlfriend of 9 years, the one who was with him when facebook was just a dream. How many similar stories do you know? The one which pops in my head is the story of Prince William and Kate Middleton, but he was a prince from birth and Mark just recently became a famous billionaire. So, if you really know any good stories about couples who dated a long time and married only after they became rich and famous, please let me know! I would love to hear all about it.
Anyway, Dr. Priscilla Chan is not a stereotypical billionaire’s wife. She is a smart young girl with a diploma from Harvard and UCSF and passion for pediatrics. She is definitely a person who I admire, although I don’t know her personally. I really wish that she and Mark live happily ever after! We need these kind of fairy tales, where the main character is not a shallow barbie, but smart, educated and passionate girl. Time will show, but I have a feeling that Priscilla Chan will be a role model for young girls.
Yours,
P.S. By the way do you know who designed Priscilla’s wedding dress? Looks nice.

5 Forgotten or Little Known Seas with Exclusive Views
May 15, 2012 by Guest Post
The vast majority of us love an unspoilt vista, looking out to sea and taking in a glorious sunrise or a beautiful sunset, but where in the world can you go to experience your own almost exclusive private moment in paradise? Anywhere where there is a stunning sea based location normally attracts a crowd of tourists but there are 5 seas that we can tell you about that have not been spoilt by tourism and you may not have actually heard of before.
1 – Inland Sea – Japan
The Inland Sea as it is known or to give it its full name the Seto Inland Sea, is a slightly curious title as the sea is not on or inland but is actually a body of water that separates the three main islands of Japan which are Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu. This beautiful location consists of over 700 islands, most of which are uninhabited, and it offers a chance to see a rural, largely unspoilt Japan rarely seen by tourists as it is a well kept secret enjoyed by the Japanese people themselves.

2 – Coral Sea – Australia & Papua New Guinea
Situated off the Northeast coast of Australia it is bounded by the East Coast of Queensland which includes the Great Barrier Reef and at its Southern extremity it reaches the coastline of the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea. The area is mainly popular with Scuba Divers as it offers some of the best dive sites anywhere in the World and enjoys the warm climate all year round. Yachting, spear fishing, kayaking, surfing and just sun bathing are all on offer in the largely unspoilt Coral Sea.

3 – White Sea – Russia
The White Sea is found off the North West coast of Russia and grazes the Arctic Circle. It is an area that is not visited by large numbers of tourists. You will not get suntan here as temperatures in the summer months barely reach 10C but the positive aspect of this is you will enjoy quiet walks along some beautiful beaches on the Southern Shore.

4 – Myrtoan Sea – Greece
The Myrtoan Sea is often unmarked on modern maps and this ancient and mysterious sea is actually a part of the Aegean Sea. It was originally named by the Ancients and is situated between a group of around 220 Islands known as the Cyclades and a large peninsula in Southern Greece known as the Peloponnese. This is an area largely untouched by tourism and can be reached by ferry from the mainland.
5 – Sea of Azov – Ukraine & Russia
Situated in between the Ukraine and Russia, the Sea of Azov is in fact the shallowest sea in the World. It is officially recognised as part of the Black Sea, and is connected by the narrow Strait of Kerch. It is an area that is a popular among Russians and Ukrainians in the hot summer months when the water is warmer. But as a tourist location it is far less developed than the Crimea South Shore, so you are likely to find yourself a deserted beach where you can enjoy your own private space, far from the madding crowd.

I love Friday, mainly because the whole weekend is ahead and you can plan different fun activities. I am definitely going to one of my favorite restaurants here in Puerto Banus tonight, then to a bar for a drink or two and afterwards go to dance! What are your plans for this weekend, girls?
So, since I have all these cool activities planned, I decided to do something fun here on Rich Girls Club as well, like creating the set. I know that some girls are so good at it and I am just an amateur, but I still decided to give it a try. Here is my look for the weekend in Puerto Banus. What do you think?
By the way, girls, feel free to submit your own sets and looks. Just leave the link in the comments below or send me an email to richclubgirl @ gmail . com. If we will have enough sets, we even can start a separate section for the sets on Rich Girls Club. Let’s share our creative sense of style with each other.

Things I used for this look:
Michael Kors Men’s Oversized Watch
The Moulded Torso Dress by McQ Alexander McQueen
CASADEI peep toe pump
Patent Python Sloane Clutch by MICHAEL Michael Kors
Betsey Johnson Glitter Bracelet Set
So, rich girls, what do you think about my first set? Don’t be too critical, please
Have a great weekend!

Monaco – Exquisite Place For Party In Style
May 5, 2012 by Guest Post
The tiny principality of Monaco sits at the very heart of the French Riviera and pretty much no place on earth has the same concentration of wealth and sophistication that is squeezed into this stunning location.
The elite of Europe are drawn to Monaco either as a tax exile or simply to have quality fun time whenever they come to visit. The peak times for visiting are of course the Monaco Grand Prix at the end of May and as a base for the nearby Cannes Film Festival.
The seemingly endless line of luxury yachts in the main harbour are a testament to the wealth of some of the inhabitants and visitors but also provide a stunning setting and atmosphere for a party girl to have fun.
Where to stay
If the budget will stretch then the Fairmont Monte Carlo is probably one of the finest hotels on the island but if you even have to mention the word budget then perhaps you may be looking elsewhere to stay. There are plenty of other stunning hotels to consider such as Le Meridien Beach Plaza, Port Palace and the Hotel Metropole. Just remember that if you are planning to visit for the Grand Prix, a few extra noughts might need to be added to the price.
Where to eat
Monaco is greatly favoured by gastronomic excellence and offers a host of starred restaurants such as the Joel Robuchon, Le Louis XV and Le Vistamar to name a few of the Michelin starred venues. Brasserie Cuisine is a great way to get a feel of the local culture and there are some great choices such as Avenue 31, Bilig Cafe and Brasserie Cafe De Paris offering good food at what could be considered reasonable prices for the area.
What to Do
Monaco is almost without question the international capital of luxury and when you visit the exclusive shopping area known as Carré d’Or you will find the expected array of fine boutiques and well known designer brands offering haute couture , and jewellery in particular, but don’t forget to also wander through the lanes of the old town and also take in the Metropole, Lumieres and Fontvielle shopping areas. There is of course the Casino to keep you occupied during the evening and even if you don’t like to lose money at the tables it is a good place to people watch!
Some other fun things to do during your stay would be to take a look around the Palais Du Prince which is of course the Royal Palace which has 15 rooms open to the public. During the summer months of July and August there is a Ferrari City Tour which takes you on a 20 minute tour of the City as a passenger in a flame red Ferrari (What else?) or there is the option of driving the car yourself with an instructor as the passenger!
On a more cultural note, you should consider a visit to the Musée Océanographique which is set in a stunning location at the cliff edge and has something for everyone.
If that is all too much activity for you, why not just hang around the harbour and enjoy the almost continuous party atmosphere in Monaco, the perfect playground not just for the rich and famous, but having those attributes would certainly help during your stay!

Sophisticated Mothers Day Gifts
April 30, 2012 by Rich Girl
I have already listed my 5 Mothers Day gift essentials as well as ideas for spending this day in style and luxury. So, now I guess whats left is to create a list of Mothers Day gift ideas and this topic will be fully covered.
When I try to figure out what gift to get for my mother I always start with something that I would be happy to receive myself. Then I adjust it to the brands she likes and what she needs the most at the moment. My preferred list of options include designer handbags or clutches, exquisite wallets, scarves, jewelry or something similar. But these kind of presents I usually buy for her Birthday and on Mothers Day stick to the essentials such as flowers, cards and perfume. My mothers’ Birthday has passed already, but I still wanted to pick some fancy gifts. Maybe it will be helpful for someone who has no idea what gift to buy or maybe I will get something sophisticated for the most important woman in my life after all. Anyway here is my list of Mothers Day gift ideas:
MULBERRY – COOKIE BAYSWATER SMOOTH LEATHER TOP HAND

EMILIO PUCCI – MARQUISE PYTHON & CANVAS SHOULDER BAG
ROBERTO CAVALLI – SUBMARINE PRINT SILK CHIFFON
SALVATORE FERRAGAMO – CASHMERE & SILK PRINTED GAUZE SCARF
Nina Ricci – FLORAL PRINT SILK SCARF

See by Chloe – ENVELOPE STYLE ZIP-AROUND LEATHER WALLET

SALVATORE FERRAGAMO – LOGO FOLDED WALLET
Orlando Orlandini – Arianna – Diamond Heart Pendant w/Velvet Lace
Marc by Marc Jacobs – GLITZ CUFF

Incanto Royale – Ruby and Diamond 18K Gold Earrings
Visconti – Divina Royale – Crystal Jeweled Roller Pen
Amin Luxury – 0.10 Carat Round Brilliant Diamond
Although I am personally against the gifts for home on Mothers Day, Birthday or even Christmas, there are still people and even moms that would love these kind of presents. If you want to give your mother a household or decoration gift, make sure you choose the best of the best. Here is what I would buy:
Cartoccio – Large Black and Ivory Marbled Murano Glass Folded Bowl
“Three Ages Of Woman” Framed Canvas Art By Gustav Klimt
KitchenAid® Custom Metallic 5-qt. Stand Mixer
Capresso Ec100 Espresso And Cappuccino Machine
So, rich girls, what are you going to buy for your mother on Mothers Day? What are your usual gift choices?

Mothers Day Specials At The Ritz-Carlton Hotels
April 24, 2012 by Rich Girl
Mothers Day is fast approaching and I am looking for different ways how to spoil my mom a little on this day. The older I become, the more I start to appreciate what my mother means to me. Especially at times when I am trying to figure out whether I want to have kids or not, I realize how thankful I am to my mom that she was brave enough to bring me into this world. Of course there were moments in my life when I felt that my mother doesn’t understand, know or even care enough about me, but she is the only one I will ever have and I love her the way she is. Besides, who knows how to be a great mother anyway, you just learn as you go and some moms do it better, some worse, but there is no doubt, that at least what we should do, is to be thankful, understanding and forgiving. In other words, we should try to be the best kids they ever had.
So, I was searching for some great ideas on what we could do together with my mother to make this day special and unforgettable. I stumbled upon the following offers from The Ritz-Carlton Hotels: Naples and Amelia Island. And although it is unlikely that we will travel to USA especially for these offers, but I still wanted to share them with you in case this is exactly what you were looking for.
The Ritz-Carlton, Naples:
The Ritz-Carlton, Naples offers different amazing treatments that you can share together with your mother along with a glass of champagne. Below you can find more details about this cool offer:
· The Ritz-Carlton Signature Facial, including a strawberry mask and eye treatment – 50 minutes, $125
· The Ritz-Carlton Signature Massage, including an application of strawberry-scented lotion – 50 minutes, $125
· The Ritz-Carlton Manicure and Pedicure – $125
· Tips and Tresses: Signature manicure and blow-dry – receive a 20% discount

The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island Mother’s Day Package:
The Ritz-Carlton, luxurious Amelia Island in Florida offers a magnificent way to treat your Mom to a short, but fancy getaway. The special package for Mothers Day includes overnight accommodation with coastal or ocean views, special Mother’s Dat brunch for 2 adults in Café 4750, $50 resort credit per stay and valet parking for one vehicle, one night. This package is valid from May 12 and 13, 2012, and is starting at $599.

I think that SPA day with my Mom would be a perfect idea. What do you think about the offers, rich girls? What are you planning to do on Mother’s Day this year? I would love to hear all about it!
Maybe I could even copy your ideas, he-he.

5 Ways To Get Fit In Style And Luxury
April 6, 2012 by Guest Post
Hitting the gym is a love hate experience. For some, it’s invigorating and energizing, whilst for others it’s a miserable, grueling slog. If you’re an avid gym bunny, you probably don’t need convincing of the virtues of a workout session. But if you’re not – and just the idea of half an hour on the treadmill is torture – then the chance to play dress up might be just the encouragement you need. Sports clothing hasn’t always been synonymous with high fashion, but thanks to this season’s luxury sportswear trend, that’s rapidly changing. Forward-thinking sports brands like Adidas have teamed up with top fashion houses to create some truly fantastic sports clothing, that we’d be just as happy to wear without the prospect of sport itself.
Feast your eyes the best of the bunch:
1. Run Jacket – Adidas by Stella McCartney. Adidas, the original and best in sportswear, have teamed up with darling of the fashion world Stella McCartney to produce a range that you’ll be so desperate to wear, you’ll actually look forward to hitting the gym. Perfect for shielding you against the chilly weather whilst you’re out running, this Stella McCartney for Adidas jacket will make that cold morning jog a little more enticing.
2. Easy Tennis Dress – Sweaty Betty. The aptly named Sweat Betty has done wonders for gym chic in the last few years and their range of athletic separates are miles ahead in the style stakes. With a collection that caters for yoga, cycling, swimming and Pilates, their Easy Tennis Dress in crisp white and green taps straight into summer’s streamlined sport luxury trend.
3. Health Tracker – Timex. Part watch, part clever step-sensing, calorie-counting super-device. The perfect fitness companion, the Health Tracker monitors and records distance and steps as well as counting how many calories you’ve consumed and burned. You can program it to create seven day fitness diaries and goals, and the sleek design is waterproof to boot.
4. Lunar Eclipse 2 – Nike. Spending money on trainers will never be quite as satisfying as buying a pair of towering heels, but these guarantee very happy feet whilst you’re working up a sweat. Equipped with all the features you’d expect of Nike – enhanced support, stability, grip and comfort included – they’re also uncommonly stylish.
5. Bamboo Twist Front Cardigan – Asquith. From luxury yoga outfitters, Asquith, this cardigan is – like all of their range – practical and indulgent. More elegant than sporty, it’s perfect for layering and will work just as beautifully over jeans at home as it will at the gym.

My Visit To Red Penguin Art Gallery In Marbella
I realized that I haven’t wrote about my outings here in Marbella for a while. Well, even though party life does get a little bit quiet during winter here, there are still plenty of things you could do. This year the weather was amazingly warm and sunny, almost without any rain, so I could spend a lot of time outdoors, enjoying a game of tennis or coffee with my girlfriends in numerous cafes. On weekends I usually go for a movie, to a bar or club, spend time with friends or discover new good or not so good restaurants. So, as you can see there is life in Marbella all year round.
I will definitely write more about some of the new places that I have discovered in my following posts, but now I want to say a few words about the art gallery, which inaugural exhibition I was happy to attend last month.
I found out about Red Penguin Art Gallery from a friend and was invited to the opening. The exhibition, which I attended was called “Carnival of The Artists” and was inspired by the Venice Carnival. It was a visual feast focused loosely on the themes of Carnival, circus, parties, celebrations and, of course, Venice. Among the exciting talents that were showcased in the “Carnival of Artists” exhibition were: the outstanding duo of photographers from Holland – Cats and Withoos; Alfredo Palmero and Fernando Bayona from Spain; impressionist Tos Kostermans (Holland); three Marbella-based artists: painter Felix Muyo,(Spain); versatile photographer Gary Edwards (UK) and Peter Gabiola Belasco, as well as a rising new talent, Joseph Klibansky. Special guests of the Red Penguin Art Gallery, were artists Andy Bonomo, Michéle Lehman, Nimrod Messeg, who are contributing to the FIAM (Festival Inernational de Arte Marbella) the largest and most popular Art festival in southern Spain, now in its 4th edition.
There were a lot of interesting pieces which I liked and I really enjoyed my time. Unfortunately, this exhibition just ended today, but the good news is that tomorrow The Red Penguin Art Gallery will present new exhibition, which will be inspired and influenced by the sixties.
I can’t wait to go and see it, as after I started watching “Mad Men”, I became a true sixties fan!
So, I am really curious to see what the artists have come up with. There will be new artwork by Andy Bonomo, Jesus Chacon, Joáo Noutel, Debora Notenson, Joseph Klibansky, Marco Bombach, Paula Vincenti and others. Sounds promising, isn’t it? You are more than welcome to join me, if you are in Marbella at the moment. I am planning to be there at 8 in the evening on the 23rd of March, to be one of the first to see it, but don’t worry, if you can’t make it that day, as the exhibition will be run until the 1st of May. The gallery is located in El Corte Inglés Marbella, Blv. Alfonso von Hohenlohe 2.
Girls, how often do you go to art galleries? What is your latest art acquisition? I would like to hear back form you! Please share your thoughts in the comments below.

Home Improvements Celebrity Style
March 18, 2012 by Guest Post
For some individuals, money really isn’t a problem. In fact, either they have been born into money or they have made lots of it working or investing. Regardless, people who have money learn to appreciate spending it, and their homes are one of the first places where extravagant sums of money are going to be spent in order to create luxurious living accommodations.
Therefore, creating extravagant home improvements is a popular pastime. It is an easy task that is probably just as rewarding as it is expensive. When you are rich, though, money is no object and all of the home improvements in the world are readily accessible for a few million dollars.
All too often, celebrities buy a home for millions of dollars only to wait one or more years as extravagant renovations are completed according to their specifications. In some cases, these celebrities purchase a home that already has several million dollars worth of extravagant changes incorporated inside and outside of its walls, so adding a few more expensive renovations should fit right in.
Take Jennifer Aniston who purchased a huge Beverly Hills mansion for only $13.5 million in 2006 and then decided she needed to completely renovate it. She added a Koi pond in the entrance hall, professional catering kitchen (that is hidden by the primary kitchen), a Japanese spa, and extravagant pool with a cabana. Perhaps the most intriguing and unexpected renovation is the Koi pond. How would you like to be greeted by a few gorgeously golden Koi as you entered your home? In 2011, Aniston placed the mansion on the market with a $42 million price tag because as Jennifer puts it, the mansion was “too much” for her to manage. Maybe she tired of hanging out at the pool and planning huge parties so she could take advantage of that catering kitchen.
Sports personality Scott Farrell not only wanted a “man cave,” he wanted an incredible one complete with all the bells and whistles. He recently had a lower-level room remodeled into a sound proof work station/ home studio. He had all of the proper equipment he needed to work over the air installed including an “ONAIR” sign and an in-the-wall fish tank. Plus, he had a large interior window installed so that he can keep an eye on the kids while he works.

If you have children or a large family, then you may want to pick up a few tips on home remodeling from the Spelling family. Not only does the mansion, originally owned by Aaron Spelling, have its own tennis court, a home feature that has become quite commonplace, but it also has a bowling alley, several swimming pools, and a skating rink. If your family can’t find something enjoyable to do there, then they might just be in awe of the millions of dollars that have been spent there.
Perhaps you might be interested in a celebrity mansion that has everything except a mall or marketplace? However, there is always online shopping and take out for dinner. Chris Paul, an NBA star, recently purchased singer Avril Lavigne’s mansion. Lavigne originally purchased this luxurious mansion from Travis Barker, Blink-182’s drummer. This home has it all – rooms for play, rest, work, workout, and more. The home includes not one but two offices, a gym, and a garage built to hold ten vehicles. For relaxation, residents of this mansion get to enjoy a pool, spa, and wine cellar. The backyard even has its own covered living room! Plus, the master bedroom is like a small studio apartment complete with kitchenette, dual baths, and huge closets.
There are numerous ways how to spend your money and remodeling and home improvement is just one of many.

Exclusive Sailing Destinations To Moor Your Yacht In The Mediterranean
March 14, 2012 by Guest Post
Sailing the Mediterranean Sea is a dream come true for almost any yacht owner, charter guide, or lover of the sea. The Mediterranean invokes images of azure waters, luscious beaches, white-painted villages and blue-roofed homes. Cruising through the Mediterranean can provide both an immersion into regional culture and a trip into waters that are among the finest in the world. Due to the huge population of Europe and Asia, however, the Mediterranean Sea can be a congested place — unless you know of certain hidden gems that allow you to drop anchor and enjoy a little exclusive privacy on the water.
The Amalfi Coast is among the most beautiful and unique locations in the world. In this region of Italy, homes are built into the sides of towering sea cliffs, seemingly defying gravity and logic in the process. An average of 310 days of sunshine a year makes this section of the Mediterranean an ideal destination to sail, sip wine and simply relax. The Amalfi Coast contains several small islets with an abundance of little coves that are ideal for anchoring your yacht. If you are feeling adventurous, slip into the warm water to try your luck at diving for sponges, a specialty of the region.
Although the island of Malta may have one of the highest population densities in Europe, it still contains no shortage of private coves and harbors along the island’s coast, especially on its northern side. As a bonus, Malta offers hundreds of kilometers of hiking trails that criss-cross the island through historic remains of British castles and forts left from the Crusades of many centuries before.

Gozo is a very small island off the Maltese Coast. Gozo is a rare gem because it is a rarely visited destination with which few people are familiar. Keep this one to yourself and set sail to Gozo. As an added benefit, the island offers a small marina and harbor with full services for the sailing captain and crew.
Croatia has become one of the go-to destinations in the Mediterranean for many reasons. Croatia is emerging as a top tourist destination, especially along the Dalmatian Coast. It is easy to slip away from the fishing boats, yachts and pleasure boats and stake out your own private piece of coastline along the tranquil Croatian waterfront. For a true taste of the Croatian coastal life, and the charm of a Dalmatian village, make your way to the Harbour Telašćica and drop anchor. Harbour Telašćica is near Kornati, and contains many fresh fish markets, small wineries and quaint cafes.

The Turkish Mediterranean Coast is a region that some call the cradle of Western Civilization. It is certainly true that it is a region of beauty and history. You can find safe harbor in many of the small, tucked away coves on the Turkish coat. The region near Ephesus is particularly beautiful, so relax, soak up the sun and see the country where east and west converge. To view the region’s most beautiful scenery, start in the harbor of Izmir, Turkey’s second largest city, and then sail down the coast until you reach the small coves surrounding Ephesus itself. You will not be sorry.
