My Visit To Red Penguin Art Gallery In Marbella
I realized that I haven’t wrote about my outings here in Marbella for a while. Well, even though party life does get a little bit quiet during winter here, there are still plenty of things you could do. This year the weather was amazingly warm and sunny, almost without any rain, so I could spend a lot of time outdoors, enjoying a game of tennis or coffee with my girlfriends in numerous cafes. On weekends I usually go for a movie, to a bar or club, spend time with friends or discover new good or not so good restaurants. So, as you can see there is life in Marbella all year round.
I will definitely write more about some of the new places that I have discovered in my following posts, but now I want to say a few words about the art gallery, which inaugural exhibition I was happy to attend last month.
I found out about Red Penguin Art Gallery from a friend and was invited to the opening. The exhibition, which I attended was called “Carnival of The Artists” and was inspired by the Venice Carnival. It was a visual feast focused loosely on the themes of Carnival, circus, parties, celebrations and, of course, Venice. Among the exciting talents that were showcased in the “Carnival of Artists” exhibition were: the outstanding duo of photographers from Holland – Cats and Withoos; Alfredo Palmero and Fernando Bayona from Spain; impressionist Tos Kostermans (Holland); three Marbella-based artists: painter Felix Muyo,(Spain); versatile photographer Gary Edwards (UK) and Peter Gabiola Belasco, as well as a rising new talent, Joseph Klibansky. Special guests of the Red Penguin Art Gallery, were artists Andy Bonomo, Michéle Lehman, Nimrod Messeg, who are contributing to the FIAM (Festival Inernational de Arte Marbella) the largest and most popular Art festival in southern Spain, now in its 4th edition.
There were a lot of interesting pieces which I liked and I really enjoyed my time. Unfortunately, this exhibition just ended today, but the good news is that tomorrow The Red Penguin Art Gallery will present new exhibition, which will be inspired and influenced by the sixties.
I can’t wait to go and see it, as after I started watching “Mad Men”, I became a true sixties fan!
So, I am really curious to see what the artists have come up with. There will be new artwork by Andy Bonomo, Jesus Chacon, Joáo Noutel, Debora Notenson, Joseph Klibansky, Marco Bombach, Paula Vincenti and others. Sounds promising, isn’t it? You are more than welcome to join me, if you are in Marbella at the moment. I am planning to be there at 8 in the evening on the 23rd of March, to be one of the first to see it, but don’t worry, if you can’t make it that day, as the exhibition will be run until the 1st of May. The gallery is located in El Corte Inglés Marbella, Blv. Alfonso von Hohenlohe 2.
Girls, how often do you go to art galleries? What is your latest art acquisition? I would like to hear back form you! Please share your thoughts in the comments below.

Interview With Make-Up Artist – Elina Daiquiri
August 31, 2011 by Rich Girl
Wise people say, that as soon as you’ll find out what is it that are you really passionate about and have the guts to turn it into your career, then you will become happy, rich and successful. You are going to do it with all your heart and love and that is all that matters. Elina Daiquiri is the perfect example, she turned her make-up and body art from just being a hobby into her career and never looked back. Here is the interview with this interesting and creative girl.
Rich Girl: Hello, Elina! Thank you for finding time to answer to my questions!
Elina Daiquiri: Hi Rich Girl, my pleasure. Thank YOU for being interested
R.G.: I see you have an interesting name Elina Daiquiri! Is it real?
E.D.: Elina Daiquiri is my artistic name. I really love everything about strawberries and some time ago I got the nickname Miss Daiquiri because of the Strawberry Daiquiri cocktail. I really liked it and changed my name on Facebook. After a while I realized that everyone, including myself are so used to it, that I’ve decided to keep it as my artistic name. And also it suits well to my red hair color
Elina Daiquiri
R.G.: Elina, I was really amazed by your work! You are very creative and talented person! When did you realize that make-up and body art is something you want to do?
E.D.: Thank you! I really do like what I am doing. Over 9 years ago I enrolled in the image makers school, but after I finished it, I never had enough time to do it properly. I worked in different places and make-up was always only a hobby. But luckily when I moved to Marbella one of the local model agencies required my help in couple of their projects and that’s when I realized that make-up and body art is my true passion and that I should turn it into something more than just a hobby.
R.G.: I love when my make-up is done by a professional. I think that everyone should have their personal make-up artist on a speed dial
When do you think girls should trust their face to a professional and not try to apply their make-up themselves?
E.D.: I completely agree with you about the professional make-up. It`s really nice and comfortable to have your make-up done by a professional. First of all, you don`t have to worry about doing it yourself – just relax and trust. Second, it`s always interesting how the artist sees and imagines you and how she/he highlights the beauty of your face. I think that`s why it is so special and exciting to let the professional do his job. Also, each of us is very different and sometimes it is hard to know what really fits you and what doesn’t – that`s why it is always helpful to work with a professional and get her/his advice.
R.G.: Do you think girls should have professional make-up when they go to Champagne spray parties here in Marbella or when they enjoy a ride on a yacht?
E.D.:Talking about Champagne Spray Parties – yes, they are crazily fun! And all the girls who attends them want to look perfect and sexy. All the beach club parties are exactly the right place to be original and stand out: to dress sexy, be in a good mood, to have a special make-up and maybe even some nice body painting. It’s all about having fun and be young and beautiful.
Yacht to my mind, is gonna be more for sunbathing and chill out, so it is not very necessary to wear a special make-up. Water resistant mascara and some shiny lip gloss will make you look very natural and sexy.

R.G.: Body art is something which I only see during different shows on models. Do regular people order a body art? Where they usually go with it?
E.D.: True, a body art is an art on all the body and mostly it is made by a special order for a specific event. It wouldn’t be very comfortable to go clubbing with it, as it might come off.
That’s why regular people usually don`t ask me for a body art, but I would be happy to paint trikini for free to the first interested brave girl
R.G.: During summer here in Marbella there are a lot of so called Hen Parties, when girlfriends of a bride-to-be dress up in different costumes and go crazy in clubs around Puerto Banus. Every such girl-group wants to stand out from the rest. Can you share some ideas on how with the help of professionally applied make-up or even body art these girls can be different from the rest of the “hens”?
E.D.: Hen Party is a very special event for every girl who get`s married and her friends, because it is such a great opportunity to come together and have fun! Although, there are a lot of “hens” in Puerto Banus, but I haven`t seen original ones. My quick idea at the moment would be the following: girls wear, for example, a make-up that looks like a flower – nicely done eyes and painted flower on the cheek or neck or decollete with a real flower leaves glued with a special body glue to the skin. Dress – of course colorful and romantic. Also very modern and sexy looking are glued crystals – grabs everyone’s attention
believe me – I’ve tested it on myself. Body art for a hen party would be an original gift to the main Hen for a photo shoot, for example.
R.G.: Tell us about the projects you are most proud of. Why?
E.D.: I am very proud of my last two projects here in Marbella. The first one is the make-up I did for a music video for the singer from Ireland – Carol Anthony. The video shooting for the song “Dance Like That” by Havana was a great chance for me to realize my real passion for make-up and body painting. Those two days in March 2011 were the most interesting days in my artistic career. I am really looking forward to do it again. I have to say that the video turned out to be very good and in just one month it reached over 85 000 views on YouTube.
The second project I am proud of is the body art I did for the Magazine FOC. It was a spider theme, so I made a spider web and half of the body painted as spider web too. It takes a lot of time, that`s why we did just half a body.
Both of those projects were physically hard and exhausting, but I worked with such passion and really enjoyed it.
R.G.: If you had an opportunity to work with any celebrity in the world, who would it be? Why?
E.D.: It is a very hard question, because I like many actors and singers. I am always interested in what kind of make-up performers wear on stage. And it would be a pleasure to do make-up for any of them. But I would do anything for a possibility to work with Catherine Zeta-Jones, because of her mysterious personality and something special in her eyes AND with Lady GaGa – she gets all my respect because of her stage image and a hard working character.
R.G.: What are your creative plans for the nearest future?
E.D.: My creative plans?
Would you like to be my model for a body art with crystals?
)
R.G.: Oh, my!
Well, we can definitely talk about it. Should I be naked for this?! just kidding
How would you define success and can you call yourself a success? If not, what do you need to achieve to feel that way?
E.D.: I think that success is when you are doing what you are passionate about! But I also know that in order to be successful in make-up and body art you should practice and study endlessly and follow all the latest news and trends in fashion, art and techniques. I am always studying and trying out new things and approaches, to make my clients happy and beautiful. For me success is a never ending process.

R.G.: What would be your advice for girls who want to follow their dreams and start their own business?
E.D.: Everything is possible! If you want it, if you love it, don`t wait for a right moment – GO AND GET IT! Find the instruments and use them. The beginning always is a little bit difficult, but don`t stop – just believe in yourself! And remember – the passion!
R.G.: How long have you been living in Marbella? What do you like the most about Marbella?
E.D.: Beginning of the August this year was my 2 years anniversary since I moved to Marbella. Not long, but enough to understand what is what. Mainly I like the nature here – same day you can climb the mountain and go to look for dolphins in the sea. Where else in Europe can you do that?
Marbella is a place where it is possible to meet so many different international people from all over the world. Who is real and who is not – that is another question.

R.G.: Do you love shopping? What are your favorite brands?
E.D.: Haha
Show me the girl who doesn’t love shopping! It is the best part of the day! Always works against the bad mood! ALWAYS!
I do love Custo Barcelona clothes. The colorful wearing really fits me and expresses my true self. Also Guess – is my old true love
Mostly i like shopping on e-bay, so American brand Baby Phat and Victoria’s Secret are ones of my favorites.
R.G.: And the last question: give us your definition of Rich Girl.
E.D.: RICH GIRL- means a positive, lively, happy girl who knows her value in this life. She is always informed about news in fashion. She has loyalty cards in her favorite shops and gym AND she has her best friends who are always ready to join her for a nice dinner at a restaurant. Besides she has a job she likes, she always looks good and she is well educated to talk about different subjects. This is a Rich Girl – smart, positive, successful woman
R.G.: Thank you so much for such an interesting interview! Elina, how the girls will be able to contact you, if they are interested in make-up or body art?
E.D.: Thank you, Rich Girl! It was a pleasure. Girls can always contact me by phone, my number in Spain is +34 622556004 or by e-mail: stylestarsstudio@gmail.com. We can meet at my place, at a beauty salon or I can travel to almost anywhere along the coast.
So, rich girls, what do you think about the interview? If you have some more questions to ask Elina, feel free to post them in the comments below and she will be happy to answer them too.

El Gran Gatsby Restaurant In Puerto Banus
A week ago I had a very special occasion and wanted to celebrate it in the unique and exquisite place. There are a lot of nice places around Marbella and Puerto Banus, but I needed not just a nice place, but something really special with spectacular views, romantic atmosphere and tasty food. So, I thought about El Gran Gatsby, recently opened restaurant in the exclusive place in Puerto Banus. I must say that I was taking a little bit of risk by going there, since this restaurant just opened and it was hard to find any reviews about this place. Anyway, I decided to trust my gut feeling and the fact that the owners of the place also own Magna Cafe, another famous and great restaurant.

I booked a table through the form on their site, after one hour a girl called me to confirm my booking and ask what time and where I preferred to be sited. Since I didn’t know the place I asked the girl to give us the best table they have. I really hoped she would place us at the best possible table, but I forced my expectations to stay low to avoid disappointment.
And so in the evening I put on my new dress, good mood and was ready to check out the new place and celebrate my special day.
When we arrived at El Gran Gatsby, we were pleasantly greeted and seated at the best table! I was so happy! The table was really the best I could think of with spectacular view of the port with amazing yachts on display. Also, because the restaurant is situated on the second floor, you can see the whole panorama of the port and my favorite La Concha mountain on the background. The interior also exceeded my expectations, it was cozy and at the same time very chic. At this point I could relax and start to enjoy my evening. It was time to order.

Although El Gran Gatsby has extended and exquisite choice of wine, we decided to go for my favorite Mumm Cordon Rouge champagne. They have more expensive champagne of course, but I somehow prefer Mumm and there is nothing you can do about it

As a starter we tried carpaccio of red prawns with spicy oil and ajo blanco sorbet. It was amazing! You can hardly understand that you are actually eating prawns, because they were cut so finely. I loved it.

As a second course my husband tried Asturian beef sirloin steak with virgin olive oil and allumette potatoes:

And I went for salt baked sea bass from the Veta de la Palma estate, served with potatoes and a spicy mojo sauce:

My Sea Bass was really good, and I haven’t even tried what my husband was eating, since I couldn’t even finish my dish. We both were very satisfied with the quality of food.
I also tried a desert, but it was just an ordinary chocolate fondant with chocolate ice-cream, nothing special.
I want also to mention exceptional service in El Gran Gatsby restaurant. During the evening at least 5 waiters were fussing around us, making our night so special. I want to thank everyone at the restaurant for such a wonderful and great job!
After we finished with the food, we walked around the restaurant to the open roof lounge area, where you can enjoy cocktails and food till the early morning. Maybe next time I should check it out as well.

I really enjoyed my time at El Gran Gatsby restaurant in Puerto Banus and would recommend this place for a quiet and romantic night or to take your business partners or guests to show one of the best restaurants in Puerto Banus. I am sure everyone will be satisfied.
Rich girls, have you been to El Gran Gatsby already? What do you think about this place?

10 Things I Loved The Most During Marbella Luxury Weekend
After I wrote an article called“Highlights Of Marbella Luxury Weekend”, I felt that there is still something missing, there were still a lot to tell about this amazing and one of the kind event which took place in Puerto Banus from 2 till 5 of June 2011. So, I have decided to write one more post where I could list all the things I loved about Marbella Luxury Weekend and share some ideas for the next year’s event.
1 – Atmosphere - It was definitely the atmosphere of a holiday. Almost in every store and boutique in Puerto Banus you were offered a glass of champagne and some canapes. In Elite shop they had live DJ and in Gomez&Molina cocktail bar where bartender were mixing different kind of delicious cocktails.

2 – Cars - I really loved the two cars presented by Garnieri during Marbella Luxury Weekend. Pagani Huayra was in the center of everyone’s attention, because of the exquisite craftsmanship and also the price tag around $1.5 million. I checked the car inside out, but I guess guys can appreciate this kind of car more, although I definitely loved the colour
My personal favorite was still McLaren MP4-12C, this is the kind of car that can be driven by a blond girl like me
watch out, guys.
As you can see I couldn’t get enough of this car
3 – Yacht-Taxi - I have already mentioned before, that Marina Marbella offered VIP guests complementary rides by their yachts from one part of the port to the other. This saved time and was a great pleasure, because Puerto Banus is so beautiful when you are looking at it from the sea.
4 – Bang and Olufsen Party - From all the parties during Marbella Luxury Weekend the one I liked the most was – “Black Swan” party by Bang and Olufsen.
You could really feel that they thought everything through and prepared everything so that their guest could have a really good time. There were rivers of Moet & Chandon champagne, chocolate fountain with different kind of fruits, traditional Jamon and other cool stuff.
Before Marbella Luxury Weekend I haven’t even been to Bang and Olufsen store, just didn’t need anything there. So, for me it was also a good chance to check out their offer. I really loved the speaker dock for iPad and the home cinema. It was hard for me to leave the comfortable chair in home theater and go outside, it was so cozy there
A lot of people felt the same.
And since it was a Black Swan party, there were a lot of ballerinas in fancy costumes dancing on the entrance and taking pictures with the guests inside the store.

5 – Bulgari Cocktails on the Terrace - Bulgari store in Puerto Banus has a very cozy terrace on the second floor where guests could enjoy fancy looking cocktails and talk in a relaxed atmosphere.

6 – Fashion Shows - Although these were not proper fashion shows where designers present their collections, but rather local stores showing their best clothes in stock, anyway models were nice and it was definitely interesting to look at.
7 – Ferragamo Artisan From Florence - Ferragamo attracted attention to their store not only by offering champagne inside the store and outside in the white tent, but also by placing one of their artisans from Florence next to the entrance where people could watch him manufacturing a hand made Ferragamo shoe. The guy was speaking Italian and luckily there was a lady who knew Italian and she could translate everything in the process. It was very interesting.

8 – Cartier Snake Necklace - The jewelry piece of the entire Marbella Luxury Weekend was definitely Cartier Necklace which once belonged to Mexican actress Maria Felix. The necklace is made of platinum and white gold, and set with 178.21 diamond carats with 2,473 diamonds in total. When I saw this necklace I had mixed feelings. One was – Wow! This is so huge and so many diamonds! And the other was – Damn, it must be heavy and where will you go with all those diamonds? But anyway it was really breathtaking and worth to look at along with other exquisite jewelry by Cartier.

9 – VIP Areas - I was already telling you about two VIP areas especially created for the Marbella Luxury Weekend in Puerto Banus. These areas made Puerto Banus look even more glamorous and exclusive, a very hard task, considering that the port is too beautiful on it’s own.
10 – River Of Champagne - Well, as I am a great champagne lover, for me Marbella Luxury Weekend was really a treat. Almost every store made sure they have Mumm Cordon Rouge or Moet & Chandon chilled and ready to be served. I was dizzy and happy all the time, maybe champagne is the reason I so liked the above mentioned 9 things

So, Marbella Luxury Weekend was an amazing event and I am really looking forward for the one next year. I am sure it will be even more luxurious,, glamorous and fun. To spice it up a little more and add more buzz I would definitely attract some world famous celebrities next year. I am sure they would love Marbella!

Now I feel like I have said everything I wanted
As the Summer season unfolds here in Marbella, I am looking forward to a lot of other cool events to tell you about, rich girls! Stay tuned or better still come and see it with your own eyes!

Highlights Of Marbella Luxury Weekend
Marbella Luxury Weekend was worth spending your time and money on! I had really amazing time during these 4 days of luxury, fashion, champagne and party. Such events make you feel special and glamorous as well as remind you of why you love this Spanish city so much. But let’s just review the Marbella Luxury Weekend in more detail.
First of all there were two really cool VIP areas specially constructed for the event. One was located on the East end of the Puerto Banus, right next to Lanvin store.
The other one was located next to the Tower of the port.
VIP areas were created like glamorous tents with lounge sofas and thick carpet, it was really cozy and looked chic. The major parties and private events were held in these areas, which you could only access by invitations or VIP passes.
I got mine from Bulgary store together with complimentary bottle of “Mon Jasmin Noir” perfume, which I loved! But I will tell you more about Bulgari, when I will be writing about the best parties of Marbella Luxury Weekend.
By courtesy of Marina Marbella, there were complimentary yacht service for the guests to go from one VIP area to another. Which was great, since it is approximately 15 minutes walk in high heels from on side of the port to another.
The event started on the 2nd of June with the official naming Marbella as a City of Luxury by the Spanish Association of Luxury, following by a grand celebration. All eyes were pointed to the stage, where internationally renowned violinist Jia Yi-Susanne was playing a 10 million dollars valued violin. During her performance ballerinas unveiled new breathtaking white McLaren MP4-12C sports car, which made the crowd cheer in delight.
Here is a video I found on Youtube with the Jia Yi-Susanne and launch of the McLaren MP4-12C during Marbella Luxury Weekend:
After the amazing performance and presentation, Marina Marbella – leader in boat sales and services for more than 40 years, showcased their three latest yachts in the water right next to the amazed guests.

In the second V.I.P. area located next to the Tower of the port, the luxury brand Emeshel hosted another opening night of Marbella Luxury Weekend, where they were launching sculptures, fragrance and jewellery and partied till the morning.

The opening of Marbella Luxury Weekend party was really spectacular. During the following four days, there were also other parties like the one by Salvatore Ferragamo, where guests could enjoy good company and watch the manufacturing of a hand made Ferragamo shoe by one of their artisans from Florence. As well as dinner-cocktail event by Belstaff with the launching of their jackets. But as long as I was not invited to any of these events, I am not able to tell you if they were worth going.
Apart from the grand private events in the VIP areas there were a lot of parties organized by the selected brands in their own stores. It was amazing, imagine having a DJ in a luxury boutique with caters rushing around with trays of hors d’œuvre and champagne. Well, it was cool and I will tell you about the best of them in my next post. Stay tuned, rich girls!
Oh, and here is just few pictures of me, hope you don’t mind.

Summer season is finally here in Marbella! Last week all major beach clubs held amazing Grand Opening parties, which only means one thing – grab your bikinis, rich girls, and fly to Marbella for the unforgettable summer of your life. We are ready to party here.
It seems that this summer will be even more busy, than the previous one, which is great – more crowd, more fun! A lot of beautiful people already can be seen on the streets, in the port, on different parties and in the clubs. Katie Price and Leonardo Penna were spotted last Saturday having good time in Ocean Club. New clubs and cool places will open this summer – Chinawhite by Dreamers and restaurant and lounge dance bar El Gran Gatsby in Puerto Banus both will open on the 3rd of June. So, even more amazing places to visit and fall in love with. Go, Marbella!

One of the most famous parties here on the Costa del Sol is Champagne Spray Party, organized by Sintillate in Ocean Club. I already mentioned this party last year, you can read it here in case you missed it. But since Champagne Party is one of the major events of the summer here in Marbella it is worth to write about it more.

Champagne Spray Sunday Parties at Ocean Club organized by Sintillate are one of the most luxurious and fun parties during summer season in Marbella with rivers of expensive champagne, beautiful people, sun and music. Over 2000 bottles of Veuve Cliquot Champagne got sprayed throughout the party. The happy day in the sun starts at 11 a.m. and continues till the 8.00 p.m, when nobody wants to leave. Not only because it is such a great party, but also because some people just can’t walk. Imagine drinking champagne from 11 in the morning through the day under the hot Spanish sun and you can get the picture.

Ocean Club with it’s 9000 m2 is a really perfect venue for such parties, it was renovated in 2008 and now has the second largest swimming pool of its kind in Europe, a designer bar, a restaurant catering for 300 people, live DJs, entertainment, over-sized white leather beds, a massage zone and parking.

Legendary Sintillate Champagne Spray Sunday Parties are hosted at the end of every month during summer season. Delicious CupCakes in Marbella
April 12, 2011 by Rich Girl

Anyone who know me pretty well will tell you that I am such a sweet tooth. It is killing my looks and my perfect teeth, but I can’t help it. I love any kind of deserts, cakes, macarons, pastries, candies, ice-cream and cupcakes. My experience in tasting all kinds of sweet food have made me an expert – very picky and hard to please. So, when I needed to decide on what kind of cake and where to order it for my birthday I conducted quite a research.
I wanted something special, which would “wow” my guests, so I decided on colourful cupcakes. There are a few companies here in Costa del Sol, specializing on cupcakes, but after approaching them all I made up my mind to order from CakeMarbella.com And not because I tried their cupcakes, but because of the exceptional service and friendly approach I experienced.
In the end I have ordered 36 cupcakes of three different flavours – red velvet, chocolate and carrot cake, and colours – pink, yellow and white. They looked absolutely fabulous in the basket, but when I displayed them on the tower – it became the main attraction of the evening. And the little ones adored them.
I was absolutely satisfied with cupcakes and the effect they made on my guests. Not only they tasted really delicious, on the next day my friends were calling me asking if there were still something left from the party, but they also looked fantastic, especially the ones with custom made little stars, which I ordered on purpose, ’cause I am a Star
jk.
If you live in Costa del Sol and you plan to have any kind of party, I would recommend you turn to CakeMarbella.com and everything will go smoothly. You will be able to choose from the range of flavours and colours, as well as personalized graphics to decorate your cupcakes and on the set date your cupcakes will be delivered straight to your venue, which is extremely convenient.
Now, I want to have another party!

Pizzeria Belvedere Puerto Banus Marbella

The weather is starting to get better and better every day here in Marbella and all I want to do is go out and enjoy the sun. I think Spring is the best time of the year here in Costa del Sol, because it is sunny, warm and not as extremely hot as it is in Summer, when you just can’t do anything other than sit in the places with good air conditioning.
I continue exploring my neighborhood with my precious companion – laptop
Today we decided that we want to sit close to the Sea with amazing views, eat good pizza and drink coffee with milk. I had my wireless Internet with me, so I was not looking for a place with wifi, just good terrace with the Sea view, away from the cars and people (damn, I am starting to be antisocial).
I was walking down the Paseo Maritimo de Benabola and right on the corner I have found the perfect place called – Belvedere Pizzeria.
The terrace looked comfortable and modern with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea.
At first I just wanted to drink coffee and enjoy the view, watching small yachts and boats going out or entering the marina.
But after sitting in a total “Zen” mode for what felt like hours, I started to feel hungry and ordered pizza. Yes, I know this is not healthy and I was supposed to be on a diet. But I have an excuse, pizzas is Belvedere’s specialty and they cook them in a wooden-oven.
Pizza was amazing, I had no intention to eat the whole pizza by myself, but I haven’t actually noticed how my plate got empty so quickly. I blame it on the birds, they ate it all
On my way back home, I made a picture of the interior of Belvedere Pizzeria. Although, I doubt that anyone will want to sit inside on a sunny day, it still looks stylish. What do you think?
I really enjoyed my time, spent in Belvedere, it is a great place to go and drink a glass of something, especially now, when the weather is so magnificent! By the way, here is weather forecast for the next couple of days. Sunny!
What is the weather like in your city at the moment?

Babilonia Puerto Banus
March 26, 2011 by Rich Girl

Today my day started early, with painters knocking at my door at 10.00 in the morning. Argh, hate such early mornings with strangers in my house, doing something behind closed doors. Were they working there or just chilling?! Well, I guess they did something there, because after they left my apartment smelled like toxic waste. I couldn’t work in such conditions, so I decided to go out. Luckily the weather in Marbella is perfect now, it is warm and sunny, tourists are already wearing shorts and flip-flops, I wonder if they swim in the sea? So, it is almost a shame to sit at home, especially if you are not forced to spend certain hours in an office.
My mission for today was:
1 – do some shopping to lift my spirits after intrusion
2 – find cozy place, preferably with wifi, to work
Going shopping in Puerto Banus is a pleasure, because you can find almost any shop you want, except Chanel, here. And if you haven’t found what you need in boutiques around the marina, you can always head to El Courte Ingles, where you definitely find what you were looking for. So, shopping is fun here, the problem is to find a cozy cafe in Puerto Banus. We don’t have Starbucks, Costa Coffee or even something similar here. You can find a lot of expensive or affordable restaurants, sport bars, ice cream cafes, clubs, tasty sushi places, but what Puerto Banus is lacking in my opinion is a cozy cafe with exceptionally good coffee, relaxed atmosphere, selection of good deserts and free wifi. Place where you can go with your laptop and nobody will be annoyed of you occupying a table for a couple of hours with one coffee.
So, today I was searching for the perfect place to have a drink and have some undisturbed quality time with my laptop. And I found it on the front line in Puerto Banus, place called Babilonia. This bar have just been renovated. Now it is the latest stylish and yet cozy addition to the Linekers Group chain. Babilonia bar is a perfect place for lounging on the comfortable couches, watching marina and passer-by’s while sipping cocktails with friends and getting in the right mood for the party night.

They have very good cocktails and wifi in Babilonia, so today I have spent amazing few hours there and I will be back, for sure.

I hate taking pictures with my laptop camera, but today I was in a good mood (or just the cocktails kicked in), and here I am saying “Hi!” from Babilonia Bar Puerto Banus

I loved it in Babilonia and would definitely recommend this place. But still it is a bar, not a cafe, so if you know a nice coffee shop in Puerto Banus area, I would love to know about it and check it out while it is not that hot outside for coffee.
Come to Puerto Banus and have a good time!
