Top 10 Must-See Movies for Rich Girls

Sarah Danielson submitted a lot of interesting and useful articles to Rich Girls Club lately. Today I am glad to share with you the list of Top 10 Must-See movies, which Sarah carefully selected for us. I would love to know if you have already seen some of these movies and what did you think of them? Maybe there is your most favorite movie mentioned in this list? Maybe you can suggest us other interesting movies, which are not in this list? Please leave your thoughts and suggestions in the comments below. Kisses, Rich Girl.
Even rich girls sometimes spend a night at home, curled up in front of their flat screen in their own home theater. And for those nights when hitting the VIP room at the club or schmoozing with society elites sounds like too much to handle, a little at-home entertainment is in order. So pull out the caviar and Cristal and sink into the cushions of your designer couch; here are few movies that every rich girl will love.
Troop Beverly Hills (1989). What could be more fun than selling cookies door-to-door in Beverly Hills (if only it weren’t for the annoying red-feathers)? These girls are not your typical scouts; their problems include rich parents that forget your birthday (they planned a trip…without you) and dads who run off with the hired help. And their badges are for shopping and gem appraisal. But they have each other’s backs, and that’s what matters when you’re stuck in the woods with couture backpacks and no real knowledge of the wilderness.
Clueless (1995).The movie that spawned countless truisms like “whatever” and “as if” still has the power to entertain as rich girl Cher cluelessly stumbles through her sunny SoCal life with a giant wardrobe and a heart to match.
The Breakfast Club (1985). Nobody makes slumming it in detention look quite as good as Molly Ringwald (sushi for lunch? really?). Every rich girl in the room will give a little “Aww!” when she hands one of her diamond earrings to bad boy, rebel-without-a-cause Judd Nelson, who basically vows to help her grab the attention of her wealthy and neglectful parents.

Wall Street (1987). He may not have said it first, but Gordon Gekko certainly said it best: greed is good. Who cares if using insider information to earn a buck is illegal? The ends justify the means in this tale of ‘80s excess and cutthroat corporate competition. It’s all good (right up until Gekko goes to jail).
Heathers (1988). This movie is not so much about rich girls as the girls who rule the school, but with teenage suicide (don’t do it!) becoming the latest trend, it’s no surprise that the backstabbing between the three Heathers (and one Veronica) that rule the roost would reach epic proportions when a handsome stranger appears to stir the pot.
Jawbreaker (1999). There’s no shortage of movies about upper-crust girls behaving badly, but this one goes from bad to worse when the murder of a classmate (by Jawbreaker candy) puts a couple of girls in the hot-seat and lands one mousy witness in the money. For her silence, she gets a rich-girl makeover, complete with attitude.
Trading Places (1983). What happens when two old men with too much money start making bets about the power of social position? Hilarity ensues, in the form of one well-bred, high-powered stock-broker (Dan Aykroyd) being tricked into switching places with a wheedling street thug (Eddie Murphy). Luckily, they work together to get rich and put the gambling grandpas out of business.
Grey Gardens (2009). Let this serve as a warning: a good family name can go a long way, but once the money starts to run out, it’s all too easy to end up living in a run-down mansion with your crazy mother. And this movie imparts another lesson, as well; avoid head scarves at all costs!
Jerry Maguire (1996). Does it get any better than Tom Cruise shouting “Show me the money!” at the top of his lungs to secure the devotion of his one remaining client as he quits his high-paying job to strike out on his own? Of course, his tale of hardship isn’t quite as enthralling as the lengths he goes to where love is concerned. You had us at hello, Jerry.
Cinderella (1950). The penultimate movie for rich girls showcases a poor girl who strikes it rich not through hard work, but because she catches the attention of handsome prince. Of course, her winning attitude doesn’t hurt, but we all know it’s the magic of her fairy godmother (early personal stylist) and the glass slippers that really seal the deal. Looking for an updated version of this movie? Try Pretty Woman or one of about a dozen remakes (both animated and live).

11 Most Subscribed Youtube Girls Channels
August 6, 2011 by Rich Girl
Filed under Rich Photos, Success Stories
I think everyone knows what is Youtube. We all watched and shared funny or cute videos with our friends, some even have their own channels, but there are people whose life was changed completely by Youtube. People, who managed to turn their hobby and passion for creating videos into successful online business, whose Youtube nicknames became their brand names, who travel the world, who made their dreams come true and became rich and famous.
When I read or hear about Youtube stars, I always feel deep respect for them. Not only they are not afraid to broadcast themselves, not only these people are very creative, brave and can find and share unique ideas with the rest of the world, but these people created their own life, own destiny. They didn’t wait to be discovered, or for someone to come and help them become an actor or singer or makeup artist, they just started creating videos, alone in their rooms with their camera (not always the best one) and laptop, sharing their talent and ideas with the world.
These people dared to be different. But they also worked hard! Have you ever tried to record 400 videos?!
Although the majority of Youtube Huge Stars are men/guys, there are also girls in all time top 100 most subscribed list by Youtube. There are more than 11 Youtube girls in the list, but I decided to limit my list with 11. I simply like this number
Also, I didn’t take into account channels by major music stars like Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez etc, because they were not discovered with the help of Youtube and their channels were made by PR companies and not by the girls themselves.
So, here is the list of most successful and most subscribed Youtube channels created and owned by the girls. Read about these extraordinary, rich and yet simple girls and maybe it will inspire you to start something of your own!
1 – Michelle Phan aka MichellePhan

http://www.youtube.com/user/MichellePhan

pet-interiors for Rich and Happy Pets
November 5, 2010 by Rich Girl
I think that it is not news that girls love pets. Almost every girl I know has a cat or a dog, sometimes both and not just one. Celebrity girls, for example, Misha Barton has two dogs Charlie and Ziggy and only God knows how many dogs Paris Hilton got. So, when you have your little friends around your house, you want their place be as stylish, fashionable, exclusive and fancy as the rest of your interior, right?!

Well, we are not alone in this search for perfection. Sometimes this search ends up in establishing new business.
Two German product designers, were looking for handsome products which would suite “Mrs. Schmitt” beautiful cat, but they could find nothing suitable at all. Therefore they decided to design some special cat products and found some handicrafters to realize their ideas. Mrs. Schmitt and all visitors were so pleased with the results that they decided to establish the company pet-interiors to offer these exceptional pet furniture to the public. Because of the great success of the cat-furniture, they soon started a dog collection too.

In addition to creating beautifully designed luxury objects, pet-interiors also creates pieces that have been thoroughly thought-out while keeping the users in mind. One of the design criteria is that cats and dogs must accept a new product, use it, and visibly show how happy they are with it.

Made with only the highest quality materials and craftsmanship, the products are meant to withstand years of use. Everything is manufactured in Germany and made by hand, not assembly line mass-production. This kind of quality and attention do detail undoubtedly results in pet furnishings that can truly be called design objects.

pet-interiors currently offers several styles of pet beds. The various styles have an outer cover of either wicker, leather or felt and have a luxurious inner cushion with a custom high-quality latex filling. The filling was specifically optimized for animals according to specific orthopedic criteria, it is permanently elastic, stable, long-lasting and hard-wearing. All cushion covers are removable and machine washable.

pet-interiors were Awarded the Design Prize of Upper Franconia and nominated for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Well, if you are interested in making your pet happy as well as keeping your house nice and chick, you are welcome to visit http://www.pet-interiors.de for more information.

Rich Celebrity Girls’ Power!
September 7, 2010 by Rich Girl
I like to check Forbes lists occasionally and this time I really loved their “The Celebrity 100″. You will be pleased to know that there are 6 girls among the top 10 powerful celebrities!
On the first place is Oprah Winfrey! I really admire this woman, she manages to keep high position in the celebrity tops through years (although last year the first place was taken by Angelina Jolie). She is great achiever!

Photo: George Burns
Second place is taken by Beyonce Knowles. She is not only making money on her music (according to Forbes, her 90-plus date global tour grossed more than $85 million), but she also has her House of Dereon fashion line, released her first fragrance, Heat, earlier this year and has a lot of other projects.

Photo: beyonceonline.com
On the third place is James Cameron thanks to his amazing job with Avatar. I know that a lot of people watched this movie a couple of times, I only could make it once, but I loved it.
Lady Gaga – is the sensation! That’s why I am not surprised that she in on the 4th place in the list! Girls, make something extraordinary, unique, don’t be afraid of what people will think about you, and you will end up rich and famous, just like Lady Gaga!

Photo: lastfm.com
Tiger Woods – well, he is on the 5th place, but I don’t want to talk a lot about him. Cheating men are pathetic!
Britney Spears, my love, is on the 6th place and I am so happy that she is back. We all have our ups and downs, but something we can learn from Britney is how to win everything back!

Photo: britneyspears.com
U2 is on the 7th place. I am sorry U2 fans, but I know a little about this band. All I know is that they have breathtaking shows and my friends who saw them perform live were amazed! No wonder that each tour stop brings U2 $10 million in gross ticket sales. This is the highest-earning band on the planet, according to Forbes.
Sandra Bullock is the highest-earning actress thanks to the latest two hit movies (The Proposal and The Blind Side). She also got an Oscar win this year! The only downside is the divorce with the cheating husband. Why sometimes it seems that you can’t have it all?! It’s not fare!

Photo: inquisitr.com
Johnny Depp is on the 9th place thanks to his work in Alice in Wonderland. According to Forbes, the Disney film has grossed $1 billion at the worldwide box office, making Depp the only actor to headline two $1 billion films.
Madonna is closing the top 10 of “The Celebrity 100″ list. According to Forbes, the 52-year-old singer had the fourth highest-grossing tour of 2009, bringing in $6 million a night and $138 million overall. Even I attended her “Sticky and Sweet Tour” show last August in Talinn, Estonia – it was amazing! Madonna will always remain my top favorite artist, no matter what she does, no matter what movies she is filming! I love her for the album Something to Remember! I know all the songs from this album by heart
She is super power rich girl!

Vera Wang – #1 wedding dress choice of Rich Girls
May 11, 2010 by Rich Girl
Summer is the official wedding season all over the world. Not sure about Australia, though
I think it’s the perfect time to get married – the sun is shining, it’s warm and green all around, everyone is happy, beautiful and tanned. Love is in the air! I have no intentions to get married this summer, but I love to flip through wedding dresses every season, just in case.
The first name that comes to my mind when I think about luxurious and exquisite wedding dress, the perfect choice for Rich Girls, is Vera Wang! It is the first stop on your way to long and exciting search for your one and only wedding dress. The most significant dress you will wear in your life! I have a feeling though that after you visit Vera Wang’s bridal salon you will look no further. Anyway, it doesn’t matter how many weddings you will have in your life, each one will be special and you will need a perfect and unique wedding dress.
Vera Wang started her luxury salon in 1990 at the esteemed Carlyle Hotel on New York City’s Madison Avenue, showcasing her innovative bridal collection. Recently, Vera Wang has opened her first west coast store with a beautiful salon on Melrose Avenue.
As it states on Vera Wang official website:
Vera Wang collections are positioned at the highest end of the luxury market. Driven by artistic, modern and luxurious design and style, couture-like quality and a high level of customer service, Vera Wang’s collections hold impeccable customer appeal.
Vera Wang is a super star of wedding dresses and a lot of celebrities have called upon Vera for her big day.
2009 Vera Wang brides include Ivanka Trump, Khloe Kardashian, Alyssa Milano, Ali Larter, Kara DioGuardi, Kara Dioguardi and Natasha Bedingfield.
In year’s past Vera Wang created wedding dresses for Jennifer Aniston, Victoria Beckham, Avril Lavigne, Jennifer Garner, Jeri Ryan, Heidi Klum, Uma Thurman, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez (to Marc Anthony), Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Simpson, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Leann Rimes, Kate Hudson, Debra Messing, Niki Taylor, Holly Hunter, Karenna Gore, Sophia Bush, Elin Nordegren and many more (see better list of Vera Wang celebrity brides here)
My favorites from the wedding gowns made by Vera Wang for celebrities are classic Ivanka Trump’s dress:

If you have decided you want to have Vera Wang’s dress on during your Big Day, prepare to spend thousands of dollars. Vera Wang Luxe Collection starts at $6,000, with some dresses costing as much as $12,000 and more. However, you can also find cheaper dresses range from $2000 to $7000. But we are not going to look this way, right?!
Vera Wang Wedding Dresses are available at her flagship bridal salons and department stores such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Barney’s. Check out VeraWang.com for a store locater and more information.
It was hard for me to pick My favorite Top 7 Vera Wang wedding dresses, all of them are so beautiful and different. You can see for yourself on VeraWang.com.
I always prefer white fairy princess dresses for wedding, that’s why my picks are as follows (although I still made an exception, I loved this Deidre dress):
Update: In 2010 one more rich and famous girl tied the knot in Vera Wang wedding dress – Chelsea Clinton.
(Photo: Barbara Kinney Photography)
She was wearing a spectacularly embellished strapless Vera Wang wedding gown with full princess skirt, tiara-like silver and rhinestone belt, a tied-bow back and a waist-length veil. A lot of pictures from the wedding could be found here.
As well as Chelsea Clinton, the other celebrity rich girls preferred to tie the knot in Vera Wang wedding dresses, such as LaLa Vasquez, Hilary Duff and Alicia Keys. Let’s see what exquisite celebrity brides the 2011 year will bring us?!
Actually, I really enjoyed writing about wedding dresses
I will now start working on collecting accessories and shoes for the perfect wedding
Let me know what do you think about Vera Wang wedding dress designs? Maybe you can share your favorite dress? Or you have your favorite wedding dress designer you would love to let me know about? Just leave a comment below! I would love to hear from you!
