St. Barths

Christmas and New Years celebration is over, and now it is time to relax a little bit, enjoy the sun and have some fun on the beach. Where do you usually go in the beginning of January, when almost everywhere is cold and windy?! Well, I don’t know about you, but rich and famous people are heading to St. Barths - the tiny paradise island in the Caribbean. St. Barths is a perfect winter get away to escape the cold weather and have lot’s of fun on beautiful beaches.

You will never be bored on St. Barths, because shopping for stylish clothes and fashion accessories is better nowhere else in the Caribbean! Also, what is better than French food and wine?! Exactly, nothing! :) And as St. Barths is an overseas collectivity of France, you will find a lot of great restaurants with French cuisine there. St. Barths is also a great spot for windsurfing, surfing, jet skiing, boating, snorkeling and scuba lovers. And those of you who love making paparazzi type of pictures of celebrities need to hurry up, because you will probably be able to stumble upon some stars in the shops or on the beach. For example, Jason Statham, Orlando Bloom, Marc Jacobs, Lindsay Lohan, Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani with kids, Beyonce, Jay-Z and many others where spoted on St. Barths this Holiday season.

If you are traveling by yacht, then you will be able to dock it in the Gustavia port, which is also the capital of St. Barths. For those who travel by plane, St. Barths has a small airport “Gustaf III Airport”, most visiting aircraft carry fewer than twenty passengers directly to the beach at St Jean.

So, if you are looking for active, sexy, hedonistic, and hip vocation spot this winter, with plenty of famous, rich and simply attractive tanned young people as scenery, look no further, go to St. Barths.

I found a great video on Youtube.com made by two travellers about their stay on St. Barths. You will have a better idea about this place, in case you haven’t been there already.

I also would love to hear about your favourite winter get away spot! Please leave a comment below or send me an email! I would love to hear back from you. :)

Maldives - Heaven on Earth

I want to confess, I hate autumn. This season makes me feel very depressed and I always try to find a good escape. This year I think that I have found a perfect hiding place - Maldives.

Autumn is the best season for planning your trip to Maldives, the rain season which is mainly from May to August is over and it is warm and sunny there now. The temperature in Maldives never falls below 77F (25C) and I was adviced in different travel agencies to visit Maldives any time between November and April.

The Maldives is situated in the South West of Sri Lanka, on the equator. The numerous coral reef islands, 1,190 in total, form an archipelago of 26 natural atolls ( groups of neighbouring coral islands). These 26 atolls are organised into 19 administrative atolls with the capital island of Male’ established as an entity of its own forming the twentieth division. Out of the incredibly large number of islands only 202 are inhabited and 87 are exclusive resort islands.

With around 2000 coral reefs, sandbars and coral outcrops, Maldives coral islands are a delight for scuba divers, snorkeling enthusiasts and people who love marine life. The coral reefs and atolls provide shelter for many species of fish, and other marine creatures. You can see numerous colorful fish swimming round the coral reefs in Maldives, while swimming or snorkeling in the clear blue water of the Indian Ocean around Maldives coral islands.

I have heard a lot of amazing stories about Maldives, saw great number of breathtaking pictures, but have never been there myself. One of my friends went on Honeymoon there and I think that they couldn’t find the better place for romantic escape. Clear blue warm water, white sand, and you and your beloved one alone on the island! What can be more romantic?! I am dying to get there?!

I will now start searching for the perfect resort island in Maldives and will share results of my research with you here on Rich Girl’s Club.

I would love to hear your stories about Maldives, if you already been there. Share your adventure with us by leaving your comment below.

Schöpfer Yachts for Rich Girls

I have always dreamt about a yacht, to sail on the Mediterranean Sea with friends and family, have fun under the sun and enjoy life. But when I started to look for the one I would love, I was frustrated to find out that the designs are almost all the same and it is really hard to find something new and modern. It was until I accidentally stumbled upon Schöpfer Yachts website. Now I have finally found the yacht of my dreams, although at the moment it is only a concept and I have no idea about the pricing yet, but at least I know what I want and where to get it.

Below is information about the boats as well as some cool pictures which I took from www.schopferyachts.com:

The Next Generation of Yacht Design

Schöpfer Yachts was founded in 2008 as a US based company dedicated to the pursuit of advanced yacht aesthetics and technology. Schöpfer Yachts is among a new breed of yacht companies, which will secure strategic alliances with the world’s finest naval architects and shipyards. This strategy will allow the flexibility to explore a wide range of design venues while insuring these designs meet and exceed the highest level of maritime standards. To that end, we are pleased to announce that Sparkman and Stephens (New York, Ft. Lauderdale and Newport) will be the naval architect for our first venture, the Oculus. As we enter the next generation of yachting design, we offer our design collection to the global yachting community and to prospective owners who share our vision of innovation and excellence.

Sanibel Island, Florida www.schopferyachts.com

At the moment Schöpfer Yachts on their website offer two concepts: Oculus and Infinitas

Oculus

The Oculus is a very futuristic 250-foot yacht, which can accommodate 14 guests and can travel at speeds up to 25 knots.

Infinitas

Infinitas is a 300-foot yacht with a massive recreational pool area in the middle of the ship. It accommodates 16 guests, and pretty much got everything else you might need.

Including a living room on the main deck, a dining room on the other side of the pool area. A sky bridge, kitchen, storage, helicopter platform and other cool stuff.

For more information as well as great pictures visit www.schopferyachts.com

I guess we will be able to look stylish on the Sea now J

What do you think? Do you like such futuristic designs or you prefer more classical yachts?

Nurai island

Exclusive Nurai island in Abu Dhabi.

Imagine a beautiful secluded island, with gleaming white beaches, clear turquoise water and endless lush greenery. Sounds like heaven, right? Well, now it is a reality and this luxurious reality is called the Nurai island. Northeast of Abu Dhabi city centre, Nurai is accessible but remote. Nurai is designed to be an environmentally conscious luxury island resort community, sensitive to its surrounding environments.

Derived from the Arabic word „nour” meaning light, Nurai is surrounded by clear waters and ringed with pristine sandy beaches. Lying immediately northeast of Abu Dhabi, the island is set in isolation away from the hustle and bustle of city life yet is within minutes from the mainland.

Three strands of Water Villas extend into the ocean, and Nurai’s Beachfront Estates are integrated into the gently scoping landscape. A carpet of greenery unfolds across the island, with the sweeping structures undemeath to envelop residents in their own world of private luxury. Island feels untouched as majority of land is landscaped lush greenery as opposed to populated with buildings.

Nurai is comprised of one boutique luxury hotel resort with 60 suites, 31 resort beachfront estates and 50 resort water villas. Island amenities include three restaurants, multiple lounges, private helipad and marina with arrivals lounge, spa and fitness centre.

CEO of Zaya (the owner of the Nurai island project) Nadia Zaal says: „On Nurai, you can have your own piece of paradise and still be just minutes away from Abu Dhabi. On this increadibly lush island, you will find a distinctive collection of limited edition resort beachfront estates and water villas, along with all the services and comforts of a world class boutique resort”.
