Cannes Film Festival Best Dresses – Day 1

I was looking through dresses from the Cannes Film Festival 2012 opening night red carpet and it hit me. I am actually jealous of these beautiful actresses and models. It seems like their life is a constant party where they have a chance to rock yet another wonderful dress and look exceptionally gorgeous. And yes, I felt jealous, because I don’t remember when was the last time I appeared anywhere in a long evening gown. Most events that I have attended recently required maximum a cocktail dress. Last time I wore an evening gown and felt like a star was at the SuperYachts party in Monaco. So, guess what I am trying to say here is that I just need to find the excuse to buy a new dress. Don’t know why I waited so long 
But we will definitely get back to it later, now I want to share a few dresses from Cannes 2012 red carpet, that I absolutely loved.
First of all, Jane Fonda in amazing Atelier Versace dress. Look how beautiful and sexy she is! I don’t even want to mention her age, but damn, what a body! I guess her obsession with aerobics paid off. It is about time I dig out her video tape, the one I used to have when I was a kid, and start working out.
Next on my amazing dresses list is Berenice Bejo in red Louis Vuitton. I loved everything about this dress – the color, shape, how it looks on Berenice! I think it was a perfect choice.
Diane Kruger looked gorgeous in this flowing Giambattista Valli Couture dress. I don’t know why, but the word goddess comes to mind when I look at her pictures in this dress.
I also liked Eva Longoria in Marchesa, although I did get the deja vu feeling, like somewhere I saw it before.
Eva rocked another dress during the dinner, and I probably love this Alberta Ferretti gown even better than Marchesa.
A lot of resources were raving about Freida Pinto’s red carpet Michael Angel dress, but I think that she looked much better and more intriguing in Versace.
So, these are my most favorite dresses from the fist day of Cannes Film Festival 2012. Hopefully we will see a lot of amazing gowns till the end of the festival on the 27th of May.

9 Colorful And Glam Beach Cover-Ups

Easter weekend reminded me that summer is approaching faster than I expected. A lot of posh places celebrated their opening nights here in Marbella and this means that the new party season has started.
Summer season for me is all about the beach, sun and pool parties! So, in order to be ready for this party season, I decided to start looking for the perfect cover-up. Ladies, you can’t go to the beach without a perfect kaftan or cover-up, right? Truth is, that every summer I buy a new cool tunic, wear it once or twice and then just lose it somewhere or just forget about it. I don’t know what happens with me and tunics all the time, but trust my experience, girls, there are no cool beach tunics to be found in July. All the best and most amazing cover-ups are sold out by May, so now is the best time to start shopping
I have picked a few pieces that I liked the most, but still haven’t made up my mind about whether I should go with a tunic, kaftan or jumpsuit this summer. What do you think, rich girls?

Backless Dresses: Sexy, Elegant and Chic

We were celebrating my friends’ birthday in “La Sala” the other day, and there was one girl, sitting at the nearby table, who draw attention of all men in the restaurant to herself. Well, maybe it was because she was sitting with the TOWIE stars, but I think that it was mostly because of her amazing backless dress. Even I couldn’t help but looking at the girl’s bare back in owe and, yes, I admit it – jealousy. In order to pull the backless dress off, you need to have a great back! And unfortunately (or luckily ) I am more satisfied with my front view
Anyway, this girl inspired me to look for the amazing backless dresses, in case one day I will manage to create a perfect back for myself. So, when I was browsing the net, I have noticed that so many celebrities are rocking backless dresses on the red carpet. Here are just a few of them:

So, yesterday, after I finished my post about colorful shoes, I couldn’t just stop there. I started to look for bags and realized that one of my most favorite colors for handbag this season is yellow! I spent almost all day today browsing different sites for a little bit of sunshine to be added to my spring closet. Every time I look at these pictures, I can’t stop smiling. There is something positive in yellow color and it is definitely on my “must-buy this season” list! Colorful High Heels For Spring

Spring is officially here and I don’t know about you, girls, but I am craving colorful things this season. My obsession with color started previous Autumn, but now it reached it highest peak! I guess Spain is to blame. I love that here almost everyone always wears bright cheerful colors and it inspires me to experiment with my own closet.
Only yesterday I have seen a man in his sixties wearing bright orange pants with red shirt and it looked amazing. Then I saw a stylish young lady pulling off the red jeans and blue t-shirt look, and of course numerous shoes that walked by while I was enjoying my coffee and watching the passers-by in a cozy bar in Puerto Banus. I couldn’t sit any longer, so I rushed home and started to search for the perfect colorful things to be added to my spring wardrobe. As I always start creating the outfit with the shoes, here is a list of breathtaking high heels that I have found online. I absolutely love the brand and the dresses and if I were about to get married, I would run into Vera Wang’s boutique first thing in the morning, after proposal. But I guess, that when you are searching for that special dress, you can’t limit yourself to just one option, right? So, I decided to add one more name to my list of favorites – Monique Lhuillier.

Who Wore Antonio Berardi Dress Best: Kim or Jane?

The amazing dress by Antonio Berardi continues to win celebrities hearts. When I fist saw this dress and suggested that it could be an amazing choice for someone to sparkle on a red carpet, I honestly didn’t hope that anyone would actually wear it. What are the chances, right? So, when Jane Krakowski wore the exactly same dress to SAG Awards 2012 red carpet, I was beyond myself with excitement!
And of course I didn’t expect that this dress will appear on someone again. It would be too much. So, when I saw pictures from Grammy’s and Kim Kardashian was wearing the same Antonio Berardi’s dress, just in different colour, I was shocked. Just two weeks after Jane’s SAG Awards appearance? How weird is that?
Why would Kim Kardashian wear the exactly same dress, I wonder? I doubt that Kim or her stylists were unaware of Jane’s dress, because it was all over the Internet. And girls usually hate to wear the same dresses, especially celebrities. So, I guess there is only one explanation to this awkward situation: Kim just wanted to appear in magazines and numerous Internet resources in the “who wore it best” section. And I must hand it to her, this tactic really worked, as there are countless pages now mentioning Kim and Jane.
I wouldn’t normally feature Kim and Jane together in the same dresses, as I don’t have “who wore it best” category, but I do it now only because it is Antonio Berardi dress and I fell in love with it way before these girls did.

Jane Krakowski Wears Antonio Berardi Dress

Girls, remember on the 16th of January 2012 I was posting the list of dresses I would wear if I was going to be on the Golden Globe Awards 2012 red carpet? Well, those of you who missed my post with the selection of dresses and don’t know what I am talking about, please see it here before you continue reading this current post.
So, yes I have made a list of, to my mind, perfect red carpet choices and was curious to see if any celebrity would actually wear something from my list. It was more like a bet for me, not that I was actually believing that one of the actresses (or their stylists) would pick the same dresses. I also didn’t expect that celebrity girls would have the same taste in designer evening dresses as me. I did it just for fun.
Now imagine my surprise, shock and excitement when I was browsing through pictures from the SAG Awards Red Carpet 2012 and saw Jane Krakowski!! Jane Krakowski, the star of the “30Rock” tv-series, was wearing the dress I’ve picked! How cool and unbelievable is that?! Jane was wearing the black dress with the breathtaking beaded top by Antonio Berardi. The dress, which was my top 3 pick, after the gorgeous red dress by Zac Posen.

14 Best Dresses From Golden Globes 2012

So girls, what do you think about the Golden Globe Awards this year? Have all your favorite actresses and actors win? I am really sad for Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, it seems like they never will be able to win anything. They are both great actors, but somehow every time they are nominated for an award there is always someone better in the same category. Like George Clooney, for example I love Clooney, but I wanted for Brad or Leo to win this time. Well, there is always a hope for the Oscars.
Anyway, I think that the show was great and everyone received the deserved prizes. I was particularly happy for the “Modern Family”, because I love this show! But what I really want to talk about is the red carpet and the dresses. To tell you the truth, at first I was a little bit disappointed with the dresses that our beloved celebrities have chosen for the awards’ red carpet. I thought that some of the dresses were plain boring and some were just stupid, but as I was looking at the same pictures again and again, I started to get some of the dresses and even liked a few.
Here is my “Top 11 Best Golden Globe 2012 Celebrity Red Carpet Dresses”
11 – Zooey Deschanel in Prada
I loved this dress because of the interesting top and dramatic back. I have never seen green and black look so organically together.
10 – Jessica Alba in Gucci
The dress all by itself maybe is not something extraordinary, but it looks great on Jessica Alba. I just wonder what would not look great on Alba? She is gorgeous.
9 – Jenna Dewan in Maria Lucia Hohan
I love the color, the top and the back of this dress. All in all it works great for Jenna, although if there were a lot of other amazing dresses on the red carpet I probably wouldn’t pick this one at all.
8 – Emma Stone in Lanvin
I loved the dress, chosen by Emma, it looked great on her. What I would suggest her for the next red carpet event is to review her makeup. I think she overdone her eyes a little bit too much.
7 – Viola Davis in Pucci
Viola Davis looked stunning and elegant in this Pucci dress. I don’t know what the color is called exactly, but it looks wonderful on Viola!
6 – Claire Danes in J.Mendel
This J.Mendel dress was an excellent choice for Claire Danes. I loved the dramatic back and black and white color combination.
The above listed dresses were elegant and beautiful, but to my mind a little bit too simple for such a grand event as Golden Globe Award ceremony. These dresses would be absolutely amazing choices for attending a wedding, but to stand out on a red carpet you need to try harder and therefore here is my Top 5 Best Dresses. I won’t even explain why I love these dresses the most. What I just want to say is that dress can be beautiful or amazing all by itself, but it is the girl that makes the dress look spectacular!

What Would You Wear For Golden Globe Awards 2012 Red Carpet?

While all celebrity rich girls are getting ready to sparkle and take our breath away on the Golden Globes red carpet tonight, I decided to join them in their search for that perfect dress. Well, I will only be searching and picking the dress in my dreams, but who knows, maybe one day I will be choosing my evening gown for Golden Globes red carpet for real! Everything is possible, right?!
So, before starting to browse all these numerous amazing evening dress options, I need to know what exactly am I looking for, because picking the right dress for Golden Globe Awards is crucial for celebrities. They can either be praised for a long time in numerous online resources, tv-shows and magazines, which is great publicity or they can be trashed as worst dressed, which is upsetting, but still good for publicity. And the worst case scenario would be total ignore, this is when the dress is so boring that no one is interested and all the efforts die in vain.
When you are getting dressed for a party you want to stand out from the crowd, right? Now imagine that the whole world will be waiting to see what you gonna wear and you need to upstage the most beautiful and glamorous girls in the world?! What a pressure and responsibility, right?! Of course, every celebrity has a team of people helping her to make the right choice, but I still believe that the final decision is hers to make.
So, anyway what I would be looking in a dress (when I will be attending Golden Globes one day, he-he ) is something elegant, but also a little bit over the top, to make sure that I stand out from the other girls. And as the dress code for the event is black tie, the gown should definitely be long.
So, here we go, dresses which I would wear for Golden Globe Awards 2012 red carpet:
My top three picks are the following gorgeous dresses: red dress by Zac Posen, dark blue gown also by Zac Posen and black crystal-embellished gown by Antonio Berardi. I think that these dresses are elegant with a tiny touch of crazy, just exactly what I like.

So, these are my choices of evening dresses for the Golden Globe Awards 2012 red carpet. It is really hard to pick one, but thank God there are numerous after parties, so you can always have at least three or four dresses stocked.
