Interview With Photographer – Dinara Nikiforova

I have met Dinara a while ago while we were working on the same project together. I loved her creative approach to things since then, she always had a talent to stand out from the crowd and everything she does is just so cool! The latest thing I loved about Dinara is the photo shoot she did for me during my summer visit to Jurmala, Latvia. I just loved the result of our work and think that everyone should know about this great person and professional photographer! And, yes! Dinara is a real Rich Girl, she has everything a girl could only dream of – the perfect Man, her own design company, amazing career as a professional photographer, she has numerous interests and hobbies and the latest addition to this long list is her precious baby daughter Daria. I want to congratulate Dinara on all her achievements and to find out more about her plans for the future. Below is the transcript of the chat we had over skype the other day! You will find out a lot of inspiring and interesting things about this talented girl!
R.G.: Hi, Dinara! I just don’t know where to start 
From all your numerous interests and projects what is the most important to you: your design company or your work as a photographer? What brings you pleasure and financial reward, of course?
Dinara: Photography brings me more pleasure and design company more financial reward. Design is what I have been doing since 1998 and I only started to work as a photographer about 6 years ago.
R.G.: Do you remember the moment when you said to yourself – I want to be a professional photographer?!
Dinara: I haven’t just decided that I want to become a professional photographer, my passion for photography started when I realized that I want to have a professional digital photo camera. In order to know how to use it and gain all benefits from it, I signed up for photography classes and my passion started there. I found out what kind of equipment I need and what exactly I want from a photography during these classes and seminars. After I learned what kind of magical things I can do with my camera, I realized that this is exactly what I want to do in my life and started to offer my services for money. But I am not a regular photographer who takes all orders that come my way, I only pick those projects I like and am interested in. This way I can guarantee the excellent results, because I will always work with passion.
R.G.: What is the best and most exciting thing about being a photographer?
Dinara: The most exciting thing for me about being photographer is the actual process of getting ready for the photo shoot. In order to make a great photograph you first need to create a story or a tale around it. This is almost like what directors are doing in the movie sets. You create the story; find appropriate location, models, and outfits. And the next great thing is to see the end result and get positive feedback about your work. I love when people like my work and express their gratitude and admiration.
R.G.: Do you have your favorite photograph which you are the most proud of? Can you share it with us?
Dinara: I work in genre photography. This is not a portrait, this is not a landscape, this is the display of an action which stirs emotions. One of my favorite photographs are lady in the Sea with umbrella and a photograph with Rome.
R.G.: What do you like to capture the most: people or nature? Why?
Dinara: I love to work with people under the rain. Actually, I love working in rainy weather. I have noticed that the best pictures I have ever made were with rain. And no, I don’t like to make pictures of nature.
R.G.: If you had an opportunity to make a photo of any celebrity in the world, who would you like to work with?
Dinara: George Clooney, oh!! I love him, what a man! He is very charismatic and while working with him I would probably use his macho man image. I think we could have made some really great photographs together.
R.G.: Tell us about your design company. How did you start it?
Dinara: We opened our company together with my colleagues from previous work. We wanted to be independent and stop working for someone.
After a while we realized that owning a company in reality is quite a challenging thing to do, because it is hard to organize productive and successful work flow, especially when all your colleagues are friends and co-founders. Also, at the moment I am sitting at home with a small child and can’t be actively involved in a work process.
R.G.: Is it hard to run a business when you are a girl?
Dinara: All my co-founders are men and of course the fact that I am a girl influences their attitude. Sometimes I feel like they don’t take me seriously. That’s why, girls, select your business partners carefully!
R.G.: I know that your baby daughter is more than 1 years old now! How your life has changed since then and how it will affect your future plans?
Dinara: My life has changed completely with the birth of the baby. And even though the child brings a lot of joy and the feeling that your life has gained new purpose, the first few months with the baby seems like your personal life has ended. In reality this is not true, in time you will learn how to manage to do all the things that you did before your child was born together with her.
The birth of my daughter didn’t change my future plans, because she is the part of the plan. I think that my child won’t be an obstacle in my creativity and professional growth. I plan to continue working and enjoying my career as a photographer and I also have some other exciting ideas, but it is a little bit early to reveal them now.
R.G.: How would you define success and can you call yourself a success? If not, what do you need to achieve to feel that way?
Dinara: There is a difference between feeling yourself successful and actually being one. I have never felt successful, there was always something I didn’t like about myself or my life. I always felt like something is missing or is not satisfying. I often feel like I am not good enough.
But in reality… Girls, learn how to dream properly and make your wishes come true! A few years ago one of my friends taught me how to do it. You need to make a list of everything you want to achieve and gain in your life, starting with simple things like new stockings and ending up with the most wildest and biggest dreams, dreams so exciting, that you are not even ready to share them with others!
I recently found a paper with the list of my dreams. And at the moment I have EVERYTHING from that list, except Mini Cooper car (instead I have Mercedes Benz, so I guess there was some kind of misunderstanding up there or someone just don’t know anything about car brands). So, according to this list I am quite a successful girl!
R.G.: What advice do you have for those who just like you want to start their own business or dream about becoming a photographer?
Dinara: Don’t be afraid to dream big and always study. Knowledge – is the power, studying – is the light!
R.G.: Do you love shopping?
Dinara: I love shopping, I don’t know any respectable girl who doesn’t! Shopping is the best antidepressant and personal psychiatrist, all in one. And even if you don’t need psychological help of any kind, shopping is a great way to spend your free time.
R.G.: What are your favorite brands?
Dinara: I am not a big fan of the brands, but I do love to wear something stylish and unusual. I like to look different and stand out from the rest of the crowd.
R.G.: And the last question: give us your definition of Rich Girl.
Dinara: Rich Girl – is a girl with a rich inner world and a man, who will buy her the rest.

My Visit To Red Penguin Art Gallery In Marbella
I realized that I haven’t wrote about my outings here in Marbella for a while. Well, even though party life does get a little bit quiet during winter here, there are still plenty of things you could do. This year the weather was amazingly warm and sunny, almost without any rain, so I could spend a lot of time outdoors, enjoying a game of tennis or coffee with my girlfriends in numerous cafes. On weekends I usually go for a movie, to a bar or club, spend time with friends or discover new good or not so good restaurants. So, as you can see there is life in Marbella all year round.
I will definitely write more about some of the new places that I have discovered in my following posts, but now I want to say a few words about the art gallery, which inaugural exhibition I was happy to attend last month.
I found out about Red Penguin Art Gallery from a friend and was invited to the opening. The exhibition, which I attended was called “Carnival of The Artists” and was inspired by the Venice Carnival. It was a visual feast focused loosely on the themes of Carnival, circus, parties, celebrations and, of course, Venice. Among the exciting talents that were showcased in the “Carnival of Artists” exhibition were: the outstanding duo of photographers from Holland – Cats and Withoos; Alfredo Palmero and Fernando Bayona from Spain; impressionist Tos Kostermans (Holland); three Marbella-based artists: painter Felix Muyo,(Spain); versatile photographer Gary Edwards (UK) and Peter Gabiola Belasco, as well as a rising new talent, Joseph Klibansky. Special guests of the Red Penguin Art Gallery, were artists Andy Bonomo, Michéle Lehman, Nimrod Messeg, who are contributing to the FIAM (Festival Inernational de Arte Marbella) the largest and most popular Art festival in southern Spain, now in its 4th edition.
There were a lot of interesting pieces which I liked and I really enjoyed my time. Unfortunately, this exhibition just ended today, but the good news is that tomorrow The Red Penguin Art Gallery will present new exhibition, which will be inspired and influenced by the sixties.
I can’t wait to go and see it, as after I started watching “Mad Men”, I became a true sixties fan! So, I am really curious to see what the artists have come up with. There will be new artwork by Andy Bonomo, Jesus Chacon, Joáo Noutel, Debora Notenson, Joseph Klibansky, Marco Bombach, Paula Vincenti and others. Sounds promising, isn’t it? You are more than welcome to join me, if you are in Marbella at the moment. I am planning to be there at 8 in the evening on the 23rd of March, to be one of the first to see it, but don’t worry, if you can’t make it that day, as the exhibition will be run until the 1st of May. The gallery is located in El Corte Inglés Marbella, Blv. Alfonso von Hohenlohe 2.

So, yesterday, after I finished my post about colorful shoes, I couldn’t just stop there. I started to look for bags and realized that one of my most favorite colors for handbag this season is yellow! I spent almost all day today browsing different sites for a little bit of sunshine to be added to my spring closet. Colorful High Heels For Spring

Spring is officially here and I don’t know about you, girls, but I am craving colorful things this season. My obsession with color started previous Autumn, but now it reached it highest peak! I guess Spain is to blame. I love that here almost everyone always wears bright cheerful colors and it inspires me to experiment with my own closet.
Only yesterday I have seen a man in his sixties wearing bright orange pants with red shirt and it looked amazing. Then I saw a stylish young lady pulling off the red jeans and blue t-shirt look, and of course numerous shoes that walked by while I was enjoying my coffee and watching the passers-by in a cozy bar in Puerto Banus. I couldn’t sit any longer, so I rushed home and started to search for the perfect colorful things to be added to my spring wardrobe. As I always start creating the outfit with the shoes, here is a list of breathtaking high heels that I have found online. Dream House For $20 Million in Laguna Beach, California

I have always wanted to live by the ocean or the sea, in the house with magnificent views of the coastline. For a long time I was thinking about Malibu, but realized that I would be afraid of the floods. Then I was dreaming about Beverly Hills, but it is just too far from the ocean and who am I kidding, I am not a celebrity (just yet, anyway)
So, when I stumbled upon this breathtaking property on Laguna Beach CA Real Estate website, I was left speechless for a moment. 170 Emerald Bay in Laguna Beach is the kind of house I can easily picture myself living in: the location is perfect, the house is so close to the beach and yet is on a hill, so I would be safe in case of floods, it has amazing views of the bay and coastline, the house has a lot of windows to enjoy the picturesque sunrise, three levels of luxury living and above all the house is situated in a gated community with private beach! What can compete with all that?
The home is located in the most exclusive gated community in Laguna Beach (and Southern California) and currently, 170 Emerald Bay is the fourth most expensive home on the market in Laguna Beach and it costs $20 000 000.
The dream house was custom built new in 1993 with the finest materials and construction. Who Wore Antonio Berardi Dress Best: Kim or Jane?

The amazing dress by Antonio Berardi continues to win celebrities hearts. When I fist saw this dress and suggested that it could be an amazing choice for someone to sparkle on a red carpet, I honestly didn’t hope that anyone would actually wear it. What are the chances, right? So, when Jane Krakowski wore the exactly same dress to SAG Awards 2012 red carpet, I was beyond myself with excitement!
And of course I didn’t expect that this dress will appear on someone again. It would be too much. So, when I saw pictures from Grammy’s and Kim Kardashian was wearing the same Antonio Berardi’s dress, just in different colour, I was shocked. Just two weeks after Jane’s SAG Awards appearance? How weird is that?
Why would Kim Kardashian wear the exactly same dress, I wonder? I doubt that Kim or her stylists were unaware of Jane’s dress, because it was all over the Internet. And girls usually hate to wear the same dresses, especially celebrities. So, I guess there is only one explanation to this awkward situation: Kim just wanted to appear in magazines and numerous Internet resources in the “who wore it best” section. And I must hand it to her, this tactic really worked, as there are countless pages now mentioning Kim and Jane.
I wouldn’t normally feature Kim and Jane together in the same dresses, as I don’t have “who wore it best” category, but I do it now only because it is Antonio Berardi dress and I fell in love with it way before these girls did.

Valentines Day is the day of true love and romance. And every love should have a happy ending, right? But what is a happy ending? I think that nobody has an answer to this question, but I believe in theory that every relationship has to go through certain stages and one of these stages is for a guy to make one of the most important decisions of his life and propose for a girl he loves and for a girl to consider this offer carefully and either accept or reject it. A lot of people are afraid to make this step and commit for life with one person, some make a choice to never get married, people are different and everyone has the right to live this life how they please and I respect that.
We can dispute a lot about should people get married at all, what does marriage change and etc. And maybe sometime I won’t be able to find enough reasons why people should get married. But nobody will ever be able to convince me, that there is no sense in proposal! I think that it is the most romantic, brave and admirable thing that a guy can ever do in his entire life. Guys can go to war, fight criminals, earn billions of dollars and be considered brave and successful, but for me the bravest of all are those who are not afraid to show their vulnerability, standing on one knee in front of the girl. Tell me, how else will the girl ever know, if the guy truly loves her and is ready to do anything for her, if he never proposed?
Well, anyway I am such a sucker for romance, I love good stories, happy endings and weddings! And I guess Valentines Day brings out all these feelings. I have spent the whole last week watching proposal videos on Youtube, crying happy tears and eating chocolate It started with the article I wrote for Etiquette-tips.com – the project, which I am working on together with my friend Alona. I have already mentioned before, that Valentine’s Day is one of my most favorite holidays. I love everything about it: chocolates, flowers, cards, hearts, romantic diners and getaways. It is a very beautiful day of love and unity. And even if you don’t have that special someone at the moment, you should still spend this day pampering and spoiling yourself, because the first and most important person in your life is YOU! And you deserve the best!

Jane Krakowski Wears Antonio Berardi Dress

Girls, remember on the 16th of January 2012 I was posting the list of dresses I would wear if I was going to be on the Golden Globe Awards 2012 red carpet? Well, those of you who missed my post with the selection of dresses and don’t know what I am talking about, please see it here before you continue reading this current post.
So, yes I have made a list of, to my mind, perfect red carpet choices and was curious to see if any celebrity would actually wear something from my list. It was more like a bet for me, not that I was actually believing that one of the actresses (or their stylists) would pick the same dresses. I also didn’t expect that celebrity girls would have the same taste in designer evening dresses as me. I did it just for fun.
Now imagine my surprise, shock and excitement when I was browsing through pictures from the SAG Awards Red Carpet 2012 and saw Jane Krakowski!! Jane Krakowski, the star of the “30Rock” tv-series, was wearing the dress I’ve picked! How cool and unbelievable is that?! Jane was wearing the black dress with the breathtaking beaded top by Antonio Berardi. The dress, which was my top 3 pick, after the gorgeous red dress by Zac Posen.

So, rich girls, what do you think? Was this dress a great choice for Jane Krakowski? I think it was definitely an amazing dress and she looked gorgeous in it. I am also happy to know that me and Jane (or her stylist) have the same taste in evening dresses. This inspires me to do more lists like this in the future!
Well, let’s wait and see if someone would actually wear the red dress by Zac Posen. I will be beyond myself with excitement! Which celebrity girl would look the best in this dress?
