6 Fashion Trends to Expect in 2012
By Rich Girl
Even though 2011 isn’t officially over yet, fashion moguls and trendsetters are already preparing for the fashion trends that are slated to become dominant and popular in the spring and summer of 2012.
If you like to stay on top of the latest fashion trends, or even if you’re hoping to update your wardrobe just in time to ring in the New Year, here are six fashion trends to prepare for in 2012:
1. Floral Prints
Flower patterned clothing has become quite the trend over the past couple of years, but you should still expect to see the presence of floral prints for many months (or years) to come. Not just limited to floral print patterns, many top designers are choosing bold graphic prints and layering different pieces of clothing together to combine them with various prints and create a bold and fresh fashion statement.
2. White, Monotone and Tan
This summer we witnessed a “white/tan is the new black” sort of movement, and 2012 is no exception. Be prepared to see a lot of white and “safari-style” clothing in the summer months, or even clothes with a combination of white and black throughout the rest of next year.
3. Vintage Clothing
Given the current state of the economy, more and more fashion trendsetters are looking to vintage and recycled clothing to help create a fresh new trend for the upcoming months.
4. Reds
Fashion lovers are already taking note that numerous different styles and pieces that are slated for the upcoming 2012 fashion shows seem to have a lot of fresh and strong reddish colors like poppy, geranium or even clothes with orange tones. (As a matter of fact, a lot of top designers are choosing red as their primary color of choice).
5. Oversized Jewellery
Oversized gem rings, necklaces and bracelets are expected to dominate the fashionable accessories movement for the upcoming year, so if you’re going to go on an accessory shopping trip, try to find accessories that have bold colors and try to mix and match them with different tones of red, black and white.
6. Plaid
Mimicking the grunge trend back in the mid-1990s, plaid clothing is expected to make a triumphant return next year, specifically in the late winter and early spring seasons. Be on the lookout for tartan and plaid articles of clothing, as well as plaid accessories, skirts, coats and trousers.

Colorful Shoes This Autumn
By Rich Girl
Summer is almost over here in Marbella, although the weather is still hot and sun is shining constantly, I just can’t get rid of the nagging feeling that it is almost October and it is time for some shoe shopping. I am glad that Autumns here in Spain are mostly dry, so you can really wear suede shoes without fearing to ruin them. I never bought suede shoes when I was living in Latvia, it was pointless, you just can’t walk in them on the streets, because of the terrible weather and the constant rain.
So, I consulted the shoe trends for Fall 2011 and was pleased to find out that it is cool to wear shoes in any possible color this season. I think this is really fun. I needed to bring a little bit of color into my shoe collection, because black is the dominating shade in my closet, so now it feels like the perfect timing.
Here is the list of 14 pairs of pumps in every possible color I could find. What do you think, rich girls?
1 – Orange Maniac Pumps by Brian Atwood
If you want to radically change your shoe color palette, why not start with orange? I honestly loved these pumps by Brian Atwood, they are so fun! In orange shoes you will definitely not disappear in the crowd. The only problem is to find what to wear with these shoes. Any ideas, girls?

2 – Nude Maniac Pumps by Brian Atwood
But if you are still afraid to go all wild and orange (because when I think about it, maybe I am not that brave), these nude pumps by Brian Atwood will help you to play it safe. They are still not black, right?!

3 – Pink Open Pumps by Yves Saint Laurent
I love pink and I love Yves Saint Laurent. Maybe it is just the right time to buy.

4 – Magenta Suede Platform Pumps by Yves Saint Laurent
Now this color is definitely very interesting and sexy. What do you think?

5 – Beige Python Leather Platform Pumps by Yves Saint Laurent
These are just another play it safe pieces, although the python leather make them look wild. I think these shoes will be prefect to wear to the office, if I ever gonna return to the corporate life.

6 – Dark Leaf Palais 105 Pumps by Yves Saint Laurent
Yves Saint Lauren has a wide palette of colors this season. I love these dark green suede shoes.

7 – Indigo Palais Open Pumps by Yves Saint Laurent
Indigo is a magnificent color and I always had a soft spot for pip-toe shoes. This pair combines it all in one
Just perfect!

8 – Dark Red Leather Pumps by Jimmy Choo
You can never go wrong in red. Red is a magical color. I once had dark red shoes, which gathered so much attention and complements, that I even marked in my mind’s diary that red is the perfect color for shoes, grab them as soon as you see them!

9 – Anthracite Cosmic Glitter Pumps by Jimmy Choo
These cosmic glittery shoes by Jimmy Choo are made for glamorous parties. There could never be too much glitter, right?!

10 – Two-Tone Patent Platform Pumps by Gucci
I love these two-tone shoes by Gucci. They are very interesting and feminine. These are the shoes I think the Duchess of Cambridge could wear for one of her public appearances.

11 – Sequin Platform Pumps by Nicholas Kirkwood
These are the other perfect party shoes that I like.

12 – Blue Laser Cut Satin Lace-Ups by Nicholas Kirkwood
I know that these are not pumps, but I sooo loved them, that I decided to add them to my list. Usually I don’t like the booties, but these are exceptionally great ones. I like everything about them: the color, the lace, the design, the heel. These are perfect!

13 – Velvet Printed Platform Pumps by Erdem
What do you think about these shoes? I think they are super sexy. I love the color and the fact that these are actually velvet shoes, excites me! I have never had velvet shoes before!
Velvet Printed Platform Pumps by Erdem
14 – Prorata 90 Pony Leopard Pumps by Christian Louboutin
And my list of the most perfect and colorful shoes wouldn’t be complete without Christian Louboutin! I think that animal print on shoes is a great idea. And it looks super sexy! Just be careful to not overdo the look. Too much of animal print is ridiculous.

So, this is my list of the bold color shoes for the Fall 2011. What do you think, rich girls? Is there anything you want to add or share with us? Please leave your thoughts in the comments below.

The Most Luxurious Residential Cruise Liners in the World
By Rich Girl
Filed under Guest Posts, Rich Photos
There are those who have money, and those who are just filthy rich. The former may have a grand house in the best ‘burb, but the latter will always manage to see you and raise you one. For them suburbia is so last season. Living a life of luxury, forever sailing the ocean blue aboard a residential cruise liner is their latest ‘must-have’ sensation.
There are only a few in the world, some currently sailing, some still in the planning stages, but they do exist. Sailing perpetually from port to port, residential cruise liners offer a totally different lifestyle, if somewhat ridiculously opulent. But then, if you could afford to, you’d probably be tempted to join this elite way of living, too.
Here we present five residential cruise ships that offer a whole new perspective on floating real estate.
MS the World

Photo Source 1; Photo Source 2
Since 2002, the largest residential cruise liner The World has been sailing the high seas, with an average of 150 passengers each trip – although the ship can carry many more. In all, there are 165 residences on board the 195 meter floating home, with accommodations ranging from studio apartments to three bedroom suites. All are privately owned, although the owners may not live aboard all year round, and collectively the passengers own The World. Not a bad piece of real estate, if you can afford it!
Every two to three years the ship circumnavigates the globe following a specific itinerary set out by the residents, who have chosen to live this extraordinary existence day in, day out. The itinerary includes one-off experiences and rare expeditions in the ports and countries they choose to stop at through the year. And life on board isn’t half bad, either. There are a number of restaurants, catering to different tastes, movie theaters and other entertainment venues, a supermarket, deli, shopping mall with top of the range boutiques, a casino, gym, and several other athletic venues. There are even Balinese style day beds on deck in which to relax if it all gets too much.
The Magellan

Photo Source 1; Photo Source 2
The Magellan, once completed, will be a full third larger than The World, making it one of the biggest luxury liners on the water. CEO Randall Jackson envisioned the need for a luxurious residential ship while on a cruise through the Straits of Magellan with his family, and his imagination has run wild. Not only will the Magellan have the usual amenities available on ocean-going liners, there will also be an observatory, two putting greens, a retractable marina, a heliport and microbrewery. And when finished, the ship will measure 244 meters long, 32 meters wide, and feature 15 decks.
Though residences will start at $1.8 million and go up to $8 million for full ownership, once built, the Magellan offers people the unique opportunity to take time-share residences for a few weeks to a month for as little at $140k. We’ll have to wait a while longer though as building will only start when 60 percent of the units have sold.
Utopia

Photo Source 1; Photo Source 2
Due for completion in 2014, Utopia has 190 luxury homes available, each with their own ocean view and ever-changing horizon. Prices range from as little as $4 million to $25 million for a permanent residence, though Utopia will also have around 206-room luxury hotel on board for those who just want a taster of life on the ocean waves. It’s also one of the few ships to allow residents’ pets on board – although there are limitations to size – and offers a private residents’ club. Amenities include casino, day spa, restaurants, multiple lounges, a sports lounge, putting greens, golf simulators, an outdoor cinema and a rock climbing wall.
What is most appealing about Utopia is the proposed itinerary. Formulated to take in some of the biggest events in the world; from Venice Biennale to Wimbledon, Cannes Film Festival to Rio Carnival, time spent traveling on Utopia would surely be fun, fun, fun… if a little exhausting.
Freedom Ship

The Freedom Ship is a unique concept in at-sea living; rather than being a single ship, it was intended to be an entire floating city, created atop a series of barges. And instead of being a permanent cruise with pit stops around the world, the Freedom Ship was to provide people with a place to live, work, play and shop, while sailing perpetually, carrying workers and residents as they go about their daily lives. The ultimate community at sea.
The concept was to include an on board library, schools, a first-class hospital and a large fleet of hydrofoils and commuter aircraft to ferry passengers to and from shore. However, construction has yet to begin, although, seemingly, the technology to build it exists. It might just be a dream too big. If completed, The Freedom Ship will be almost 1400 meters long, 230 meters wide and just over 100 meters high – four times longer than the Queen Mary. That is one big ship.
The Four Seasons

The Four Seasons residential cruise ship offers 112 permanent residences on 13 decks, starting at just $825,000 for a tiny studio up to the princely sum of $39 million for the more exquisite suites. Every resident will be credited $12,000 a year for food, drink and spa services, but that’s not all. The 220 meter-long ship also offers butler and guest suites for residents to purchase for the exclusive use of their guests and hired help, on top of the usual amenities you would expect on a luxury liner. Salons, saunas, spas; coffee bars, restaurants, wine bars and fitness centers are all available. A round-the-clock concierge service will allow passengers to have their on-shore activities arranged for them, and the ship’s marina will allow dive trips and shuttles to shore as and when guests need them.
Initial plans for The Four Seasons liner were to follow a two-year fixed itinerary, which was to take in stops at Antarctica, the Amazon and the 2012 Olympics in London, but considering 2012 is fast approaching and no ship building in sight, no doubt new plans will be afoot, which is always exciting.

Airport Madness And Almost Missed Flight
By Rich Girl
My trip to Monaco Yacht Show this year was almost ruined by the force majeure situation
Try to imagine the following, I come to a check-in desk all smiles, hand in my passport, the lady at the desk checks her computer and says that she can’t find me in the list for this flight.
“You are not registered for this flight” – she says in the most polite voice.
First few seconds I couldn’t even digest this information. I just kept smiling. Then as the situation gradually started to sink into my brain my smile faded.
“What do you mean, I am not on this flight? I have confirmation in my email. There must be a mistake! I am on this flight! Please check properly.” – I was beyond annoyed at this point. I honestly thought that the lady was just plain stupid.
Turned out that I indeed was not on the flight! There was some kind of misunderstanding between my travel agency and the airline, which resulted in me crying in the airline office at Malaga airport and almost kissing my Monaco trip good-bye. Because the airline said that it is not their problem and if I still want to fly now, I should pay 450 Euros. To this I just said: “F$%# You! Are you kidding me?! I already paid for my tickets! Do something!” “No, it is too late.” – they said and started to mind their own business, drinking coffee and chatting.
What would you do in the situation like this? When there is one hour left to your flight? I was shocked, I panicked, with trembling hands I started to call my agency. They were holding me on the line for literally 30 minutes and only when there was half an hour left to my flight, they solved the problem. Alleluia! Thank God, that the lady on the check-in desk (the one which I thought was stupid at the beginning, for what I apologize) haven’t left already. They usually close check-in desks 1 hour before the flight.
The lady on the check-in desk said: “Yes, you are on the list now, but it is too late. I can’t allow you to board the plane.” I plead and plead this holy woman and she agreed to call the captain of the plane and only after he said: “Ok, let her in!” She printed out my boarding passes.
You can’t even imagine what I felt then she said I am in! That I can fly! I literally started crying! I always wondered why girls, who participate in beauty contests, cry when they win the prize? Well, now I understand them. After such a nervous pressure, there is no other option.
So, when they said I can go now, I ran to the security. They asked me to take off my shoes, at that moment the boarding already started. I took my shoes off and ran barefoot to my gate through the whole Malaga airport! You might have already guessed correctly that my gate was at the farthest end possible of the departure area. Thank God and cleaning ladies for the tidy floors in Malaga airport.
No matter what have happened to me just a few hours before, I was so happy to be on the plane. You can’t even imagine!! So, it is only logical that I celebrated the happy ending of this madness with a glass of cava and the rest of my trip went down smoothly. Although, I couldn’t concentrate to read or do anything other than just look out of the window and drink.
I am in Monaco now and really appreciate every minute of it, because there was a great chance that I would not be here at all.
Stay tuned to my reports from Monaco Yacht Show 2011. By the way, if anyone of you are here by any chance, let’s meet up for a cocktail or something!

Monaco Yacht Show 2011 Day One
By Rich Girl
Today I woke up in a sunny and beautiful principality of Monaco. After quite a stressful situation I experienced at the airport yesterday, today is actually a wonderful and relaxed day. Last year I was staying in a hotel in Nice and I needed to travel everyday to the show, this year I am staying in Monaco so I have more time to enjoy Monaco and see how it looks during early morning. I am so happy to be here! I love Monaco, it is such a special place. I feel like at home here, maybe that’s why it is my 4th visit during this year alone to this amazing place. I can come to Monaco all the time, actually I could live here!
So, today I was enjoying my early morning walk around Monaco and I have made some pictures I would love to share with you.
Here is a picture of Casino de Monte Carlo, the way it looked today in the morning sun.
And here is the Port Hercule in the same morning:
I had my early morning coffee at a beautiful cafe “Virage”, where Superyacht Group sponsored drinks and pastries for everyone to celebrate the start of the Monaco Yacht Show 2011.
A lot of people came to this morning coffee gathering. I have met a lot of people from the Antibes Yacht Show which I attended this year. It was nice to see familiar faces, I guess in a few years time I will be able to know each and everyone, which is so cool.
Oops, here I am. Sleepy and without make-up as always during morning hours. I am not a morning person as you can see
So, Monaco Yacht Show 2011 started today and I am really looking forward to enjoy the following 4 days of luxury as well as meeting new exciting people.
And during the whole of the show I will be based at the Stars’n'Bars bar in a Captains Hideout. So, if you girls are here, let’s meet up
Girls, if you have anything you want to know about the Monaco Yacht Show or you want me to go and make a picture or a video of something specific, just leave your requests in the comments below and I will see what I can do!

5 Best Dressed Girls On Emmy 2011 Red Carpet
By Rich Girl
I love to watch award ceremonies, which take place in the sunny LA. Actually, I usually don’t watch the ceremony itself, just the arrival of the celebrities on the red carpet. I wait in anticipation for my favorite stars to impress me by their dresses and looks. Sometimes I am frustrated, but most of the time red carpet looks just prove one more time that it is so great to be rich, famous and beautiful.
My most favorite award ceremonies are the Oscars, Golden Globe and Emmy. I only started to watch Emmy Awards recently, because I never watched TV series before. I thought that watching TV series is a total waste of time, but since I moved to Spain I completely changed my attitude towards them. Some TV series are actually great and better than most of the huge budget movies. Although there are a lot of amazing TV series to choose from, I only watch the following “Mad Men”, “Gossip Girl”, “Modern Family”, “Glee” and “Desperate Housewives”.
So, this year I was waiting for Emmy Awards 2011 for two reasons: first, to see the dresses and second, to see if “Modern Family” and “Mad Men” will get the awards. And, yes, they did! “Modern Family” is officially acknowledged as the outstanding comedy series and “Mad Men” – outstanding drama series. But dresses, well, I just could pick 5 out of all.
1 – Sofia Vegrara in Vera Wang. My absolutely favorite dress and look on the red carpet at the 2011 Emmy Awards is Sofia Vegrara in coral Vera Wang dress. I think that Sofia has amazing body and Vera Wang enhanced it even more by her yet another masterpiece. Do you remember how gorgeous Sofia Vegrara looked during Golden Globe Awards in another breathtaking dress by Vera Wang this year?

Sofia Vegrara
2 – Nina Dobrev in Donna Karan. A lot of girls decided to wear red dresses for Emmy Awards this year, but I think that Nina Dobrev looked the best of them all in this beautiful gown by Donna Karan. What do you think, rich girls?

Nina Dobrev
3 – Gwyneth Paltrow in Pucci. It is easy to wear something classy just to be on the safe side and don’t appear in worst dressed section of different magazines, like Lea Michele does all the time. But to actually wear something extraordinary and look great in it, not a lot of girls can. I think that Gwyneth Paltrow was taking a risk, when she decided to wear this sheer dress by Pucci, but it definitely paid off. Not only she was wearing one of the most interesting dresses, she also looked amazing! Good job, Gwyneth!

Gwyneth Paltrow
4 – Sarah Hyland in Christian Siriano. I honestly think that Sarah Hyland was the cutest and sweetest girl during Emmy Awards 2011.

Sarah Hyland
5 – Kristen Wiig in Zac Posen. Why I liked this dress? First of all because it is not red!
And also because I find it interesting. I love how this dress looks on Kristen and I also love the color.

Kristen Wiig
So, these are my favorite dresses from the red carpet at the 2011 Emmy Awards held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on September 18 in Los Angeles. Have you seen the ceremony, girls? What were your favorite looks and dresses? I would love to hear from you, please share your opinion in the comments below.

Luxurious Escapes Of The Rich And Famous
By Rich Girl
It’s impossible to read a magazine, paper, or browse online without hear mention of a celebrity these days. It’s exasperating and tedious – most of the time. The rest of the time some of us secretly wonder how the other half live, what they do, where they holiday, and wish away our lives thinking how wonderful it would be if one day we were in their financial position. Until then we’ll have to make do with the usual bargain basement breaks and be happy with our lot. Still, there’s no harm in looking.
Monaco

One of the most luxurious and pricey destinations on earth is the small tax haven of Monaco, lodged somewhat happily between France and Italy. The Principality is famous amongst Europe’s elite for its casinos and extravagant nightlife, as well as its shops, Grand Prix and yachts, for which you’ll need bags loads of cash to keep up in the capital of Monte Carlo. The hotels are out of this world – celebrities particularly enjoy the Hotel Metropole, where one of the best suites can set you back a whopping $4,000 a night! There’s good news for us lowly members of the public, though – there are plenty of reasonably priced hotels on either side of the Principality especially in Nice, France, so you could stay in France and play in Monte Carlo. Now that’s living it large.
Dubai

Equally famous for its luxury lifestyle is Dubai in the UAE. A long-time favourite amongst the top crust from all over the world, this city has emerged from the desert as a playground and shopping paradise. Despite it’s location in the Middle East, Dubai offers a laid back lifestyle with some of the best bars and clubs on the planet. And don’t worry about the soaring heat of the day – there are miles and miles of air conditioned malls in which to seek refuge and part with your cash. The accommodation is out of this world – most famous is the recently completed Royal Palm where you can expect to pay up to $1,000 a night – and the city boasts a top range of restaurants and entertainment facilities to keep the credit card busy.
St Barts

Some celebs – Mariah Carey being one – prefer a more gentile resort, where they can try to relax with a degree of privacy. Despite their money and entourage, it’s the simple white sands and beautiful scenery that attract the rich and famous to this Caribbean island. Known for its fabulous cuisine and local delicacies coupled with European influences, it’s the place to be seen in the Caribbean. One of the best places to stay has to be Eden Rock – listed in the top 100 hotels worldwide. Boasting a selection of beaches and suites with a price range of $700 up to $4,300 a night, it’s sure to impress.
Cape Town

Africa’s most popular tourist destination attracts its fair share of famous people, including Prince Harry and Tiger Woods. It’s a perfect location for those looking for a spot of European glamour in Africa. Celebs enjoy the swanky restaurants along the Victoria and Albert Waterfront, which boasts an array of fantastic seafood restaurants and shops. The posh Camps Bay area, where a private villa can cost you up to $1,900 a night, is the ideal hangout for a party. Those who prefer to stay in a hotel can head to the One & Only, where UK celeb Cheryl Cole spent a recent holiday. Situated on the waterfront, this hotel boasts a range of rooms and suites. The One Penthouse suite is a true gem, with stunning views over Table Mountain and a choice of two pools, four bedrooms and private lift.
Capri, Italy

The island of Capri has long been known for its high-end hotels and is favoured amongst Europe’s elite for its fabulous views, food and weather. The resort of Anacapri is probably the most prestigious and attracts celebrities such as Whitney Houston, as well as leading members of Europe’s royalty. With views over the sea towards the Bay of Naples, this resort oozes exclusivity. A favourite hotel in the area is the Capri Palace Hotel and Spa. The rooms and suites are all appointed with luxury materials, but celebs prefer the Penthouse Suite, with stunning views, marble floors and a pool, this suite of rooms can set you back almost $8,000 a night!
Las Vegas

For sheer hedonism some of the world’s most wealthy people choose to head to Las Vegas. The city is well known as a great place to spot celebs, given its great nightlife and flashy hotels. A number of America’s most famous people have been spotted in the glitzy city, and it also remains a great destination for Europe’s elite looking for some fun. Hang around at the Palms Casino Resort and you might catch a glimpse of someone important who’s been staying in the Fantasy Penthouse suite at the very top. And of course, they can fly in and out with no disturbance in their private helicopters. Nice for some, eh?
London

London remains a favourite haunt for millionaires and celebs, despite the notorious British weather. Known for its exclusive restaurants and hotels, the capital has it all. Bond Street and Mayfair are famous worldwide for their posh shops and designer boutiques, and hotels such as the Dorchester, Berkeley and the Ritz are world class. London boasts great nightlife as well as fashion shows and of course hosts various film premiers in Leicester Square. Booking a suite at the Berkeley in exclusive Knightsbridge will set you back a few bob – the wonderful Conservatory Suite with its own rooftop terrace has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, three reception rooms and conservatory!
St Tropez

An old favourite amongst the rich and famous in Europe is St Tropez. Not far from Monaco and a stones throw away from film premiere destination Cannes, St Tropez is known for attracting a glamorous crowd. Trademark sights include the billionaire’s yachts moored at the marina and the young and beautiful lounging on the beaches. Walk the boutique-lined streets and be careful not to scratch the paintwork on some of the most expensive cars on Earth. Jay Z and Beyonce have stayed here in the wonderful Byblos hotel which has been luring celebs since the late ‘60s. A deluxe suite at Byblos is only $2,100 a night in the low season. Bargain.
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Famous for its beautiful sandy beaches, laid back style and relaxing spa hotels, Cabo is a favourite Mexican destination amongst the world’s high flyers. A favourite destination of George Clooney and assorted Friends stars, the resort offers a luxury haven away from a hectic lifestyle. The beaches, shopping malls, exclusive hotels and restaurants attract crowds of celebrities every year. Aside from the chic One & Only Resort, celebs favour the luxury beachfront resort of Esperanza. With beautiful suites and a wonderful infinity pool, Esperanza has it all. Celebrities often prefer the privacy of Esperanza’s private villas offer: a two bed, two bath villa is a cool $1,500 a night.
Lake Como, Italy

Finally, another of George Clooney’s favourite places. Stunning Lake Como is the perfect place to stay year round, and is favoured also by Madonna and Versace, among others. The stunning scenery, romantic walks and close proximity to the ski resorts in the Alps make this a number one winter destination. A favourite sport for those who don’t own their own holiday home is the luxurious Villa D’Este hotel. Perched on the lake with stunning views, this hotel has a range of romantic rooms and suites. Stay in the Cardinal Suite with fantastic Italian style terrace and enjoy the views and great food delivered to your door. Prices for suites begin at $2,100 a night. A night with George: priceless.

5 Great Luxury Gift Ideas
By Rich Girl
Whether it is for a birthday, for Christmas, for your sweetheart on Valentine’s Day or just because you feel like it, luxury gifts are lovely to give and a delight to receive. Often a luxury gift is given just because someone wants to let the other person know how much they care.
Gift baskets make great luxury gifts, depending on what you put in them and gift hampers can spoil the receiver when it contains all their favorite special foods.
1 – Jewellery
Jewellery is the ultimate luxury and is always appreciated when received. You are spoiled for choice with jewellery with rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, pendants and watches being made in various golds and silver. Whether you go for stones like diamonds, emeralds, rubies or sapphires, or you might choose semi-precious stones like Amber, a piece of jewellery is something that the receiver will keep forever and always remember who gave it to them. Pearls are always popular as they go with everything, but the big winner is always diamonds.
2 – Day SPA
To treat your partner book her in for a relaxing day spa experience. Give her the whole day off from the kids, which will be one of the main benefits of the day, and send her off where she can enjoy massages, facials, mud wraps, manicures, pedicures and every sort of beauty treatment available. If you are unsure of what she will like you can always buy a gift voucher to a certain value and let her choose what she wants.
3 – Gift Basket
Gift baskets make lovely gifts and you can order them easily online where they are then delivered directly to the gift recipient if you wish. Gift baskets come with all sorts of products which include luxury bath products, skincare products, relaxing CDs and massage oils, aromatherapy oils and candles and a whole variety of items. You can make a gift basket up yourself and have fun choosing all those special luxurious treats that you know are adored but never bought because they are such a special indulgence.
4 – Perfume
Perfume is a beautiful personal gift but can be difficult to know what will suit. Not all perfumes suit everyone so buy something that you know they already have, which they won’t mind because if it is an expensive one they won’t have to worry about buying their next bottle, or you could buy another product in the same range so they can layer the scent. Some perfumes have products like soap, body wash, moisturizers and talcum powder in the same range.
5 – Leather Goods
Another luxury item that you can give as a gift are leather goods. Things like a new purse or wallet, a handbag or brief case are beautiful gifts that the receiver can keep forever if they take care of them. You might want to go all out and choose something really special like a well known brand from somewhere like Gucci, Prada or Burberry. If you can’t afford a handbag perhaps look at buying a belt or a nice leather keyring.
Author Bio: Tom Mallet is an Australian freelance writer and journalist. He writes extensively in Australia, Canada, Europe, and the US. He’s published more than 500 articles about various topics, including gift hampers and gift baskets.

Luxury Cars Rich Girls Might Love

Girls with some cash in their coffers can afford the best of everything. They buy their bags from Louis Vuitton, and Jimmy Choo is the source of their shoes. Their makeup and perfume is courtesy of Chanel, while clothing comes from Paris, Milan, and the finest fashion houses the world has to offer. Celebrity stylists cut and color their hair, select their ensembles, and ensure that they always look flawless. And they spend their weekends in the Hamptons or whatever exclusive corner of the globe suits their fancy (when they aren’t staying at one of their many homes, the Four Seasons provides sufficient lodgings).
So of course they spare no expense when it comes to the vehicles they choose to tool around town in. Here are just a few cars that the rich girl on the go is sure to love.
1. Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG. Every girl can get behind a gorgeous MB (or at least, behind the wheel). The 6.3-liter V8 engine puts out an impressive 518 horsepower, which will have you passing lesser cars with aplomb. And the seven-speed automatic offers you four different shifting programs to suit your every mood; you can select comfort, sport, sport plus, and manual mode. Plus, you simply can’t beat the curvy, road-hugging body of this stylish and easy-to-drive car. Prices start around $200,000, making it eminently affordable for the rich girls out there.
2. Audi R8 Spyder. This could be German engineering and styling at its finest. At first glance, this car looks fierce, with a tapered front end, side scoops, and a feline countenance that speak to nothing so much as a need for speed. It certainly doesn’t hurt that the impressive 8,000 rpms produced by the 5.2-liter V10 can offer525 hp. The reduced weight and increased power will get you from 0-60 mph in just four seconds (and all for around $160,000 – mere pocket change). Going, going, gone.
3. Lexus LFA. Some girls love to flash jewels while others prefer to show off a lean, mean, speed machine. Here’s one for the tuner girls, and it looks like it came straight out of The Fast and the Furious (if they’d had a budget that would allow for a $375,000 car). The surprisingly small 4.8-liter V10 ponies up a whopping 552 hp, so when you hit the accelerator, this baby will hum. With a 0-60 of 3.6 seconds, it’s a hair short of taking the lead on this list, but think about the after-market possibilities!

4. Aston Martin DBS Volante. If it’s good enough for the most stylish agent in Her Majesty’s secret service (that would be 007 – Bond, James Bond) then the Brit brand that has been wowing movie-goers for half a century is certainly a candidate for the rich girl’s affections. This gorgeous piece of polished metal can roar with 510 hp (provided by a 5.9-liter V12), which will really put some wind in your hair with the convertible top down. And with a base price of just over $280,000, you’ll certainly want to get your money’s worth out of the engine. Of course, if looks could kill, this AM car would be on the hook for manslaughter – it’s so hot that you’d almost expect a trail of flame to appear in its wake.
5. Porsche 911 Turbo. At a starting price of $123,000, this is the least expensive car on the list, but the rich girls out there won’t find anything lacking in this tight little dream car (except maybe some weight). The pared down 3.6-liter flat six doesn’t sound impressive when compared to some of the others, but the twin-turbo two-seater pumps out 480 hp and takes you from 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds, putting it at the top of the list for speed (and the handling is nothing to sniff at, either).
